The location was amazing. The cabins are very close together and the parking is convenient. The rooms could use a decorative upgrade but definitely comfortable and cute.

The service was impeccable. We had our dog with us. He could basically accompany us anywhere, except of course their Michelin rated restaurant. Location great.

Carmel is a wonderful place to visit, we were lucky that the weather was so GOOD. The town has many great shops, restaurants and art galleries. It is a wonderful pace to celebrate a special occasion and there is Pebble Beach and the 17 mile drive!!

Carmel is a cute, charming seaside town with plenty of shopping and restaurants. Mostly all parking is on-street parallel parking. The Adobe Inn, where we stayed, is located within a block of all the restaurants and shops and even has its own parking garage located below the Inn. At night the town pretty much clears out after 9 or 10, but walking back to the Inn felt safe. The town is also a great base if you are planning on visiting Monterey, 17 Mile Drive, or Big Sur.

The morning and afternoon is the best time to spend it in Carmel. During night time it’s not lit up as you think it would be. But during the day it’s absolutely amazing. All the shops, cafes, restaurants. The walking. Everything is near by. The beach to the town is like 10 min walk. We stayed for 3 nights and 4 days

Although a little crowded before Christmas, we loved Carmel.
Although a little crowded before Christmas, we loved Carmel. A lot of good restaurants to eat, not cheap, but a long list of great places. Friendly people. Great beach and other beaches near by. You can visit Monterey, close by.

The little cottage like room was cute and clean, so nice to be able to take our little dog with us, nice to have our own parking space, our door didn’t lock and a staff member fixed it right away, hoping to stay in another little cabin soon, this is our second time, our first cabin had a living room, and spacious. Had breakfast at the tuck box, the tea and scones delicious along with fluffy omelette so Yummy can’t wait to come back
Location was perfect. It was a nice hotel. An older property but nice. The rooms are dated.the breakfast in our room, however, was perfection! I had avacado toast on our first morning- best ever! It was served with a pastry that I don’t even know how to describe. So good! The chia pudding the next day was again amazing! The hotel itself is not what I would call luxury but the food definitely is.
Location was fantastic. Had breakfast each morning at the bakery across the street. Easy walk to everything. Housekeeper was quick and efficient. Room layout was a bit unusual as you had to go through the bathroom to get to the bedroom. The motel itself is older with rooms open to the outside; however, we never felt that was a security issue in Carmel by the Sea.
Its a neat, simple hotel, and well located in Carmel. Easy to walk down to main Carmel streets for accessing restaurants and shops. We had a room on the top floor - which had an outstanding view of the Carmel town and a sea view. The property is located on a slight incline - which makes the views even better. Rooms are spacious, but simple.
Rooms were clean . Location was perfect .., It has its own area for shopping and eating , so if you don’t want to drive to carmel by the sea
You could step outside your door and have plenty of other options to choose from for shopping , eating or just a coffee run.. I would highly recommend this hotel for the location and pricing .
Had a great stay here with my wife for two nights. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the location was fantastic. We were able to use this as a good home base from which to explore Carmel by foot. We even went to Carmel Valley, which was easy to get to via bus from a bus stop right around the corner from the hotel.
Extremely comfortable bed, best dreaming I’ve had in a while. Peaceful secluded location away from traffic and city noise, and just 10-15 mins away from Carmel and Monterey Bay. Very pet friendly, loved seeing all the dogs with neighboring cottages. My cottage had a nice fenced patio which is perfect for pets.
The hotel was conveniently located on a main street of Carmel, and also exit out of town by car was pretty quick. A parking place was included with the room we ordered, which was important, as parking in the street was limited for two hours.
Great view, very nice fireplace, excellent location, friendly and extremely helpful staff! Best small hotel I’ve stayed at in Carmel and I’ve been coming at least annually for very many years! I highly recommend this establishment!!!
It was a great stop for us as we were otw from Napa Valley heading towards Malibu. We had a good rest and we enjoyed Carmel town and it's beautiful eateries and stores. Everything we needed was nearby eg gas station and eateries
The hotel room was comfortable and clean. The room was cozy, with limited space to move around and small shower, but still very comfortable. Staff were very friendly. Excellent location to explore Carmel, as it is in the centre.
It was very comfortable!!! Great room / fireplace / parking/ hot tub/ quite. Breakfast was delicious. We have stayed in several other hotels in Carmel . Some much pricer. This was the best. You will see us again.
Its location is really good. Carmel is a place where you can go by walk everywhere, but the hotel is not close to the restaurants/bars and this makes it a pretty calm place. Parking availability is good as well.
The beds, this was the best nights sleep I’d had in a hotel ever, so comfortable. Location was right in the heart of Carmel and an easy drive to Monterey. Historic and clean.
Breakfast was great.
Hotel is close (walkable) to Carmel beach, adjacent to Il Fornaio restaurant and across the street from other fine dining and shops.
