Charleston Harbor Resort & Marina Very good 8.3 I enjoyed the entire experience. This was my first time to Charleston, and I was literally blown away.
The Vendue Wonderful 9 Staff were very welcoming and friendly from the pre-arrival e-mail to help arrange sight-seeing around Charleston, to the bellhops and waiters in the Drawing Room restaurant (which had amazing food). Our room (a Deluxe/Signature King) had plenty of space, a comfy bed and a huge bathroom with two sinks. The hotel is also beautifully appointed with artworks on display.
King Charles Inn Wonderful 9 Great helpful, young reception staff. In fact,ALL the staff in every location, helpful in every way. Breakfasts delicious. Hotel in great location for all the 'sights'of Charleston.

Hotels that guests love in Charleston

    • We always want an affordable hotel in close proximity to the bars/restaurants/sights when in Charleston and the Holiday Inn historic district has become our go-to place. Clean, new, nice staff...no complaints! Will be back again and again.

    • Booked this hotel last minute, after visiting Savannah for a few days. I was pleasantly surprised how convenient the location was to walking the historic district of Charleston. Rooms were small, but had everything, including a mini fridge. The free parking was so great to have, along with free and efficient wi-if. No hidden fees at this hotel. Highly recommended!

    • The hotel is new and very clean. It is easy to walk to most places in downtown Charleston, but the hotel is on the very edge of the historic district, so some people might find it a hike to get around

    • The location was convenient because Meeting Street and King Street are the two main streets in the downtown historic district. It was a couple of blocks from the visitor center, and we walked to most places on our first visit to Charleston. We did drive down to battery park. The hotel was very clean and had obviously been updated.

    • Free parking (1 of the few places to still park free in Charleston), and ample overflow parking for large vehicles. Taxi fares about the same as most parking fees and the hotel is just over a mile from the historic district.
