Hilton Albany, hotel in Glenmont

I did not get the accessible room I had booked back in September 2023. My room and all the public rooms smelled of stale smoke. A martini glass lay in the hallway on our floor from our arrival to our departure. The clock in my room was thirty minutes fast. The TV did not work. My room, and the other room, overlooked the roof of the restaurant. On said roof was rotting garbage. In the other room the water ran out of the faucet in the tub when the toilet was flushed and the safe was locked. For over $1000 for two rooms overlooking garbage, the hotel deserves no stars at all. Additionally, messages I sent to them before arrival went unanswered. When I first checked in they had only done it for one room, not both, and we had to begin again. In February I stayed overnight at Ocean House in Rhode Island. For $2300 for a night in a suite that had four bedrooms, included snacks, a stocked bar, breakfast and a book as well as views of the ocean, the price came out to less than $400 per person versus this Hilton where for over $500 per person we got to park (for $20 - free at Ocean House) near the MVP and sleep in our rooms smelling of stale-smoke overlooking garbage. The staff was pleasant enough. The lobby chairs were comfortable. The pool was okay. But the public rooms all stank of the stale smoke with an overlay of air freshener. I had read other reviews, so I wasn't expecting it to be wonderful, but I did not anticipate the garbage or the smells. Additionally, the price for each room had gone up $135 since the reservation I had for September which was crazy. And let's not forget I did not get the room I reserved over nine months ago. So,

Dated facility, ( chair, furniture) although fairly clean.

Dated facility, ( chair, furniture) although fairly clean. More than adequate hot water & pressure. Only tiny amount of personal washing products, (Soaps, shampoo, conditioner), although some people bring their own. Staff very accommodating when requested for additional products. Prefer not to have carpeted rooms, concerned with Cleanliness.

Cleanliness, breakfast and location was good.

Cleanliness, breakfast and location was good. First floor room had a light curtain that you can see through at night. Other thick curtain not wide enough to cover window so I can have privacy at night. So I clamped with a hair clip.
