Kanab is a nice little tourist town in a great location.
Kanab is a nice little tourist town in a great location. I've done three great guided hiking tours while here (Peekaboo slot canyon, South Coyote Butte, White Pocket) that I will never forget. Plus several wonderful national parks in the area. My complaint is a shortage of restaurants that serve breakfast. Also no bars, but alcohol is available in restaurants.

Two nights in Kanab was about right to sightsee local attractions like the sand dunes and hike to the dinosaur tracks. Convenient home base for adventures in Paris canyon and other outstanding landscapes.

We enjoyed the stay very much.
We enjoyed the stay very much. The location was perfect for accessing the National Parks. Enjoyed learning the history of the area and how many movies and TV shows were filmed there. The pictures of all the celebrities at the motel brought a lot of nostalgia to us. Not much open on Sunday, so plan accordingly.

This is the closest town to Zion National Park if you're coming from the east. It's got just barely what you need, a few grocery stores, a few restaurants, a few motels, but there's really nothing to do in the town, day or night. But it's only an hour from Zion and the motels in town aren't overpriced.
We thoroughly enjoy our stay in this comfortable oasis of peace. The hotel and the rooms are modern, clean and fitted with all the comforts that a traveller might need. The small red rocks waterfall in the swimming pool is the cherry on top - your body will be thanking you as you blissfully float under it after a long drive or an intense hike in the beautiful parks around.
Kanab is a beautiful, quaint little town with plenty of character and is surrounded by spectacular nature and lots to be explored!
This is a great hotel in a convenient location for going to Zion National Park, Orderville, the North Rim and just hanging out in Kanab is awesome too! The rooms are comfortable and roomy. Only the pull out bed and rollaway beds are not as comfy but the regular beds are great! The pool and hottub are nice after long days of activities. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful! There are laundry facilities that worked well. It was a great stay for my family of 5 😀
It is a good, clean, safe budget hotel. No frills, no extras. Pluses: The pool area backs up to open fields with gorgeous red rock in the distance. The location is good, walkable to the best restaurant in town (Rocking V cafe). Solid budget hotel. Cons: Towels could double as a loofah. I had to use the net to thoroughly clean the yard debris & bugs out of the pool before getting in. Coffee is not available 24/7.
What a gem! We enjoyed everything about our stay - this lovely sparking clean well decorated studio could not have been more perfect. Enthusiastic welcoming and informative email immediately after we booked. Seamless check in and check out. Dinner on the dog friendly patio at the on-site restaurant was delicious, wait staff friendly and attentive. This was by far the best experience we have had on our road trip.
It was a really lovely suite and had basically everything we needed. Nice to not need to go out for every meal as there is plenty of cooking equipment and kitchenware provided. Very comfortable bed and good bathroom too!
Fantastic location for getting to Zion National Park and seeing more of this part of Utah. Kanab was a really lovely small town and we spent a morning exploring there too.
Staff was great. I actually had to shorten my stay on short notice and they did not charge me for it. Beautiful property and truly pet friendly, not like other so-called pet friendly hotels, where they do not allow your pet to be alone in the room. This hotel does not charge extra for pets either- and I brought 2 dogs! We will definitely stay here again if we visit Zion National park
Location was great, right in the middle of this wonderful small town of Kanab. Property was very tidy and well-kept, check-in was quick and easy. Our room and bath, as are all rooms of this generation of "travelodge, Route 66-type hotels, was small but very clean and comfortable. The French drip coffee at breakfast was delightful!
This was easy to find, and within walking distance to many places in Kanab. The pool area, although much more rundown than the photos, was welcome after a day's travelling, with a great view of red mountains from the hot tub. The room was fine, if quite small.
Amazing pet friendly room. The entryway with a slotted door was awesome to keep cats/dogs from darting out. The dog bed was a nice touch, though a bit too small for our dog. The cats enjoyed the scratching post and tree. Room was overall great.
Good location in Kanab, Excellent Staff, the room was very comfortable, clean and secure. Best value and based on reviews of places to stay in Kanab, Canyons Lodge was the best deal.
I got an upgrade from the smaller Version of the same hotel and personal was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant in the hotel that is run separately was exzellent.
