For lovers of rock and soul music, it’s a great place to visit. Lots to see and hear. Good bars and restaurants, although food is almost exclusively fried. Peabody hotel with its duck parade is a lovely place to stay, or just visit. Graceland and Sun Studio well worth visiting.

Everyday was a new surprise - botanical gardens with tulips and dogwood at peak, art museum, Elvis' Graceland, walk across the Mississippi River on old train bridge, Lorraine Motel and National Civil Rights Museum, Sun Records Studio, big city shopping with NICE departlment store, Beale Street, South Main Street District, Chucalissa village of Mississipian culture mounds and great trails, rich neighborhoods, poor neighborhoons - and did I mention all the great food (real fried chicken, hush pupplies, fried okra, grits, bar-bq, coconut cake, pecan pie, Mississippi mud pie, and microbreweries to name a few. AND the people of Memphis are very friendly and welcoming.

This is a wonderful city to visit especially if you are interested in the music scene and the beginnings of rock and roll. There are many music related museums to visit, car museums and of course Graceland - which I highly recommend going to- even if you aren’t a huge Elvis fan. The museum is so well done , it’s quite fabulous. We went in a Mojo bus tour which had a musician onboard who was also the tour guide and super knowledgeable. That was great fun, we toured Sun Studio where many great musical talent emerged from.

First trip to Memphis. Came to see Graceland.
First trip to Memphis. Came to see Graceland. Booked hotel online. Probably would not have stayed there if just driving by. Didn’t appear to be best neighborhood. But location was close to Graceland. The staff was wonderful. There was gated parking which kind of scared me thinking I needed it but thankful they had it. Breakfast was wonderful! There is a Mexican restaurant in adjoining parking lot. Very good, again kind of scared me that they used a hand scanner to check for weapons before you go in. Hotel offered shuttle to Graceland which we used , very handy. We did not take in any other attractions in Memphis but loved our tour of Graceland. As far as the city, would probably not go back but showing my age. Too many people, too much traffic, I prefer National Parks and wildlife.

I was just passing thru for a day.
I was just passing thru for a day. The restaurant I was planning on visiting is downtown. I was not aware before arriving that most of downtown closes at 2-3 pm. Made for some changes needed for venturing out in the evening.
We came to Memphis as part of a road trip stayed just the one one night at La Quinta- location was ok- had a great night out!! the room was unclean pubic hair in the bath - staff not very helpful- we woke up in the morning to find our hire truck parked in the hotel car park that he cctv had been broken into two smashed windows the police attended and shared it’s a daily occurrence- please if you stay here do not park here.
The staff did provide a cardboard box and tape for the broken windows- another guest there had his car stolen!
The hotel is at the left side of Graceland which was our main reason to visit Memphis. The rooms have beautiful pictures of Elvis suits and/or cars. The room is beautiful. They have a cinema to watch Elvis movies. The Lobby is beautiful too. It is a must stay hotel if you are an Elvis Presley's Fan. Graceland guest relations place is across the street and you can walk to the gates of Graceland from the hotel. The restaurant for breakfast is great, (not included on the room rate).
This is an amazing hotel to stay in if you are going to Memphis! The inside of the pyramid is something to see, the store is awesome and the hotel rooms are very nice! The room was VERY clean and smelled nice. The balcony was awesome getting to look out over the store. The fresh cookies that were delivered to the room were amazing. We also loved the snack "gift basket" in the room. Couldn't have stayed anywhere nicer!
Everything. Exterior of property is very clean and safe. From check in to check out everyone was polite and friendly. Hotel is very clean and comfortable from entrance to room. The restaurant breakfast buffet and service were good. Great location for the University of Memphis and surrounding Memphis area attractions.
My husband and I had a wonderful stay here. The staff were friendly and gave restaurant recommendations as well as parking suggestions. The room was spacious and decorated in such a nice way. Bed was comfortable. Rooftop bar had a great view and the overall location of the hotel was in the heart of Memphis.
Beautiful hotel right next to Graceland with everything Elvis. The staff were friendly/helpful & they have shuttle buses which run regularly to Graceland. Rooms are spacious, clean, comfortable & bathroom was huge with the best shower head. Great pool area & the food/dining restaurants were great.
The hotel and room was very clean and updated. The location was close to downtown, only a short drive to Beale street and all other downtown activities. The staff was friendly. I especially appreciated the 24/7 coffee available, and was very impressed with how good the coffee was.
The location of the hotel is perfect for exploring the iconic Beale Street. The staff were lovely in sharing valuable tips with us to make our stay enjoyable, and we had a fantastic time overall in Memphis. Our trip would not have been the same if we had stayed in a different hotel!
I've been to hotels around the country, and by far this was the best. From the customer service desk workers(both shifts) , to the valet parking guys, southern hospitality at its finest. Location was great, room was great, this will always be my spot when I come back to Memphis.
Everything about this place is a treat. Super cool, great decor and very stylish.
Fantastic bar and restaurant.
Lovely, friendly and helpful staff.
Good sized and well designed rooms.
Easy access and plenty of parking. Very safe and secure.
Perfect Memphis hotel.
We were very satisfied with the hotel, because the rooms are very clean, the staff is very friendly and the breakfast was also good. Besides the hotel is very pretty and comfortable.
Whenever we go back to Memphis I would book that hotel again.
The room was awesome! I loved that it had a little kitchenette with a full fridge. The bed was really comfortable. The hotel was also only about 10-15 minutes from downtown Memphis. It was the perfect place to stay on my road trip.
This hotel is better than what the previous reviews would suggest. The room was nice and appears to be newly renovated. The neighborhood was fine, not great but not bad (it's Memphis).
Staff were friendly and hotel was very clean.
Perfect location for visiting Memphis, short walk from most places: Beale Street, Main Street etc, and parking was great!
Location was great. View was gorgeous. Right downtown Memphis! Close to trolley, and walking distance to many destinations including Peabody hotel, Beale street etc.
