People dont' consider this a tourist destination - but the Casa Via Mar is fantastic, and the hotel concierge recommended a restaurant in the marina (Masala Twist) that was delicious. Biking from Santa Barbara to Port Hueneme was beautiful every step of the way. Fresh strawberries bought at the side of the road were delicious.

great to visit the military facility of port hueneme especially a trip to the seabee museum is a must close to the beaches great weather and lots of fresh field vegetables and fruit especially during strawberry season

Visiting our daughter and son-in-law who is stationed in Naval Base Ventura County. Oxnard was sketchy. Visited the Navy base and the Seabee Museum. We would recommend the museum, clean and informative. Also recommend the quick trip the the Missile Museum closer to Point Magu. Many restaurants, mostly fast food types, but had sit down types as well.

Beaches and restaurants. Fishing at Oxnard pier. Ventura Harbour 15 mins away. Shopping in both harbours. Great bar on beach and small eatery outside. Rutter Room. Walking is a breeze in both harbours. Beaches are clean and easily accessible.

Great chance to enjoy the beach area/pier with less crowds right at the end of the road where your hotel is located Visit the Seabee museum and see Sadam Hussain's gold sword Try Best Breakfast/Lunch on Saviors Rd and just off Pleasant Valley R, otherwise try the restaurants in Camarillo where there are large shopping outlets stores.RonaldUnited Kingdom
