Jupiter Hotel Very good 8 The Staff was amazing, very friendly and welcoming. The rooms were stylish and fun. The hotel has a resturant and club venue and I must say that the noise level stayed under control. Central location, my friend and I were able to walk to DT Portland in 20 minutes. The Doug Fir lounge has great food and drinks. I am in my late 30's and would reccomend this hotel to anyone especially if you are a lover of vintage and mid-century modern.
Sentinel, a Provenance Hotel Wonderful 9.1 This is a beautiful hotel with a friendly and helpful staff. We had a beautiful room with an outstanding corner balcony. When you walk into the hotel make sure you look up to the ceilings. They are gorgeous!! The hotel has direct access to Starbucks and Jake's. There are many other restaurants and shopping close by.
The Mark Spencer Hotel Excellent 8.7 The location was perfect for MAX, streetcar, walking, eating, drinking and coffee. I had a jr suite and was very pleased. Breakfast options were somewhat limited but didn't matter to me. There are many options for lodging in this area but I think this is at the top of the list. The sunrise and early evening view was spectacular from 607.
Hotel Modera Very good 8.4 Staff was really friendly, location great
The Benson Hotel Excellent 8.7 This hotel is a classic. We stayed 10 years ago and are glad we made the choice to return. The beautiful wood panelled foyer is gorgeous, with music in the lobby bar each evening to boot, our corner room was spacious and bright, the staff are very accommodating, and the location is unsurpassed. Next time we are in Portland, that is where we will stay.

Oxford Suites Portland - Jantzen Beach Very good 8.3 The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was more than I expected. It was also close to shopping areas. I also liked that Burger King and Taco Bell was across the street which was very convenient.

Hotels that Guests Love in Portland

    • My husband and I stayed there in between trips. The hotel is conveniently located near the airport and a bus stop so we could easily visit Portland and travel to and from the airport. It is good value for the money. Also it is very near an overlook point for viewing Mt Hood and Mt Saint Helens.

    • I like the location of the hotel. It has incredible access to everything downtown portland has to offer. I was able to ride the max directly from the airport to the convention center and walk a short distance to the hotel. There are ample dining options within walking distance. The view from my room was amazing.

    • For the price as a solo traveler it was great. You can catch the Trimet Max Red Line directly from the airport and it takes about twenty minutes. The stop is literally on the opposite corner so you'll be able to get into Portland easily too. Some people may not like it, but the room had a very 80/90s hotel vibe to it. Kinda retro, which I thought was very cool.

    • I just wanted an inexpensive place to stay while I explored Portland. It was good for this purpose. Being able to use the hotel's shuttle to go to and from the airport was very convenient, although if I ever go to Portland again, I would book a hotel that was right by a MAX Red Line station since going to downtown every day from the hotel took 40 minutes. The place was fairly clean and well kept and the staff were friendly (especially the shuttle drivers).
