Days Inn San Antonio Lackland AFB Good 7.2 Great staff, comfy bed, good facilities, good breakfast included, OK for visiting San Antonio if you have a car
La Hacienda Inn By Knights Inn Good 7.6 The staff are wonderful, the rooms are cozy and fresh, location is good since you can walk to the Riverwalk and there's a HEB store just 10 minutes walk away. And again, the staff is amazing. By far the best place I've ever stayed at at this price range.
Hyatt Place San Antonio Riverwalk Very good 8.5 Clean and just a few minutes from the river walk. Large parking. A very nice place to stay in San Antonio TX.
Riverside Suites Fabulous 8.8
Baymont Inn & Suites San Antonio/Wurzbach Pleasant 6.8
Drury Plaza Hotel San Antonio Riverwalk Superb 9 Easy walk to everything Right on the Riverwalk Friendly staff Great welcome Comfortable rooms and beds Fanstastic breakfast and 5:30 Kickback is a real treat
La Cascada Resort Superb 9.4
Drury Inn & Suites San Antonio Riverwalk Fabulous 8.8 The hotel is nicely located in downtown nearby the canal, which was a pleasant surprise for us to take a "boat trip" after a three-hour drive from Austin. The hotel offers free hot food and cold beverages (both alchoholic and gaseous) in the late afternoon, which I would recommend only if you have just checked-in and don't know much about the neighborhood yet as to where to eat. The "boat trip" on the canal is unforgettable and also let's you know to see much of the city center as well as to locate the places where you can dine and wine. Don't forget to visit the Alamo and the old market.

    The Legend of the West

San Antonio in Texas is home to 2 of the state’s top attractions – The Alamo and the Riverwalk. One of the city’s former Spanish missions, the Alamo was the site of a deadly battle that cost folk hero Davy Crockett his life. The other remaining missions – Concepcion, San Jose, San Juan, and Espada with its aqueduct – are dotted around the city. The attractive Spanish Governor’s Palace also remains.

The San Antonio River runs right through the city, below street level. Known as the Riverwalk, its banks have been cleverly developed to house riverfront restaurants, bars and shops, and are spectacularly lit for Christmas. There are several San Antonio hotels by the Riverwalk which are also close to the Rivercenter Mall, the city’s biggest shopping centre, while La Villita artisan village offers more traditional crafts.

Across the road in Hemisfair is the Tower of the Americas, a tall observation tower with a revolving restaurant overlooking the Alamodome, a huge sports and convention venue, home to the annual Alamo Bowl collegiate football game. Booking.com offers several San Antonio hotels near the Alamodome, and more accommodation near San Antonio Airport.

On the outskirts of the city are Sea World and Six Flags Fiesta Texas. The city also hosts the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo, one of the country’s biggest Western events.
