Hotels that guests love in San Antonio

  • This is a luxury 1 bedroom condo in a hotel. King size bed, large living room with a balcony, full kitchen (of average size), L-shaped bathroom including two sinks and a jacuzzi. A jacuzzi! Hotel is located on the Riverwalk in downtown San Antonio. They sell timeshares, I heard a pitch at the desk for about two minutes. This place was great. Luxury living.

  • Hotel was right on the riverwalk, convenient to restaurants and shops. No need to use your car. Staff was helpful and gave restaurant discount when asked. Had very nice happy hour snacks, incl fresh veggies. Comfortable , large room.

  • I like the cleanliness of the facility, and the staff professionalism...felt for the money it was the best hotel I've ever stayed in on the Riverwalk. I will choose this hotel the next time I stay in San Antonio.

  • Tile floors in the room seemed much cleaner than carpet in other hotels. We spent majority of our time at SeaWorld so I didn't want to spend a fortune on a hotel. It doesn't have a pool but since we swam at Aquatica in SeaWorld all day that didn't matter. The staff was amazingly nice! They helped me plan our last day in San Antonio and explained how to get to the Alamo as well as sent me with maps and told me good places to eat! It is also very close to SeaWorld, like 10 minutes or less.

Our trip was great and the hotel made it even better.I will recommend this hotel to everyone and if I return to San Antonio, I will be staying here at the Double Tree By the Hilton..Awesome first time experience. THANK YOU!

The Crockett Hotel Very good 8.4 Staff was friendly and accommodating. The hotel was very clean. The continental breakfast included scrambled eggs. The location was perfect. We didn't need a car to get to any of the tourist sites.
Hotel Valencia Riverwalk Excellent 8.8 The room and staff were all awesome.
Menger Hotel Very good 8.1 An excellent hotel from start to finish of our stay. Historic hotel so well maintained. Rooms were great, room service prompt. Not enough praise for this Hotel.
Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort & Spa Excellent 8.7 The convenience of the heated pools at your sister hotel
Days Inn San Antonio Lackland AFB Good 7.3 The staff was amazing..especially Jacob who has a ton of knowledge about graduation and San Antonio. The room was clean and comfortable. The best part... you are right there at Lackland. And... sign the boards in the lobby!!
La Hacienda Inn By Knights Inn Good 7.6 This was one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. Unbelievable, considering the cost. I've paid 4 times as much for something nowhere near as good. The room was huge, and equipped with everything I could possibly need. Iron and ironing board, refrigerator, microwave, a nice big TV, aircon, and even USB ports on the bedside table, so I could charge my devices. Huge, cosy, fluffy bed, decent-sized bathroom, great shower. The staff were really friendly and helpful too. The area is kind of ugly, but it's only about a mile from downtown, so I really didn't mind, especially considering that for this price, you're usually about 10 miles from downtown.
Hyatt Place San Antonio Riverwalk Very good 8.5 Great value considering the prices of other places nearby. They are in the process of renovating (never heard a thing) so I expect the prices to increase when that is completed.
Riverside Suites Excellent 8.8 Everything! I will stay here every time I go to San Antonio. And the best part is that it is for real!
Baymont Inn & Suites San Antonio/Wurzbach Pleasant 6.8 We appreciate the excellent servicefrom Justin, the front desk employee. The hotel excellente, very clean room. Close to the Lackaland Airforce Base, we attended to my son graduation. You have a lot of places where to eat..few minutes walking. Love this hotel...Carmen Menendez
Drury Plaza Hotel San Antonio Riverwalk Wonderful 9 Wonderful location. 5.30 pm kickback brilliant idea. Only hotel we stayed in that had laundry facilities with the added bonus of enjoying a swim in the rooftop pool while waiting for wash cycle to complete!
Drury Inn & Suites San Antonio Riverwalk Excellent 8.8 The location and the rooms were great. Would stay there again.

    The Legend of the West

San Antonio in Texas is home to 2 of the state’s top attractions: The Alamo and the Riverwalk. One of the city’s former Spanish missions, the Alamo was the site of a deadly battle that cost folk hero Davy Crockett his life. The other remaining missions - Concepcion, San Jose, San Juan, and Espada with its aqueduct - are dotted around the city. The attractive Spanish Governor’s Palace also remains.

The San Antonio River runs right through the city, below street level. Known as the Riverwalk, its banks have been cleverly developed to house riverfront restaurants, bars and shops, and are spectacularly lit for Christmas. There are several San Antonio hotels by the Riverwalk which are also close to the Rivercenter Mall, the city’s biggest shopping center, while La Villita artisan village has more traditional crafts.

Across the road in Hemisfair is the Tower of the Americas, a tall observation tower with a revolving restaurant overlooking the Alamodome, a huge sports and convention venue, home to the annual Alamo Bowl collegiate football game. has several San Antonio hotels near the Alamodome, and more accommodations near San Antonio Airport.

On the outskirts of the city are Sea World and Six Flags Fiesta Texas. The city also hosts the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo, one of the country’s biggest Western events.
