This is convenient to the airport and cheaper than staying in the city. You do need a car to get around. There is not much to do but it provides easy access to places and there is easy access to the main freeways.

You have to drop $100.00 to stay, for security.
You have to drop $100.00 to stay, for security. For two separate nights I dropped $200. I'm supposed to get reimbursed, but I'm not confident they'll try to rationalize keeping the security deposit.
Wyndham could not re-book my change in schedule. Told me they had no authority. Go to Expedia which I did not know I had my room booked there.
Expedia told me they could not re-book. I won't ever book with Wyndham Travelodge and Expedia. Try calling 1-650-583-9600 and you won't be able to reserve a room. Incrrdibly bad service.
Towels, but no soap/shampoo in the shower. Window curtain blocks airflow from the heater so only the window is warm. Go figure.

I liked that it was in close proximity to the airport and it appeared clean. I did not like the fact that there was a strong musty smell that was overwhelming at times. It made me uncomfortable, and gave me a feeling of uncertainty as to what was I breathing. It was an unhealthy moldy environment; not sure what I was breathing in while asleep.

San Francisco is a beautiful city with lots of plus things like sights, food and history......the problems start with the homeless people, the Tenderloin (which forced us to cancel a reservation at The Donatello) and stories of excessive theft and crime in the city, not being able to leave anything in your car for fear of break in.

Folks here are so kind and respectful!! I come from 80 acres and very country mentality and I find that full time residents here are are of a work smarter not harder mentality as to retire early. So many opportunities to build a life and then move away to a more personal area. Great to visit and see the sites and enjoy FANTASTIC foods

We only liked the location.
We only liked the location. The service was poor, we were not told we had to request clean sheets and clean towels and the breakfast staff stood around talking to each other instead of replenishing the hot food or clearing the tables. The only member of staff I felt was welcoming and hardworking was Ken who worked in the bar. He made us feel very welcome and chatted to all the customers.

I booked this hotel for my mother and I and under her name but she had a heart attack and was recovering in hospital so when I tried to check in they wouldn't let me as my mother wasn't with me. When I explained the situation, they showed zero sympathy and told me I had to cancel the booking and make a new one in my name. They then charged me a much higher rate and also charged me a cancellation fee of one night!! If it wasn't so late at night, I would have found a different hotel.
It is a good deal if you are planning for a night or two-day stay but the rooms were pretty outdated in terms of amenities, especially the bathroom. The shower head had moulds and limescale but other than that the room was clean. I only stayed for a couple of hours since my flight was cancelled and for that it was good but a little expensive. The airport shuttle was a great help provided by the hotel.`
Location was great, about 10 minutes from the airport. We were able to walk into South San Francisco for dinner. But also the property had a restaurant if we preferred to stay in. Easy check in. The room was spacious and the front desk staff was friendly.
Jamesh sets the tone for this hotel! His positive and upbeat attitude makes it a pleasure to stay there. The facility is clean and well managed. We have stayed here before and it is a great value. The location is also very convenient for our needs.
The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. It was newly remodeled, and although quite plain, had everything I needed. The hotel is right on the bay with easy access to a walking/bike path. The airport shuttle service was prompt and efficient.
We used this hotel for a layover of 8 hours so didn't sleep here but used the pool and showered and rested in our room. The room was a good size and the pool temp and shower were good. The staff were welcoming and helpful.
South San Francisco was a more interesting place than I expected. Breakfast was COVID limited. The room was attended to once out of the two full days we were there, but it was comfortable and clean at all times.
The hotel was quite, secure, safe, and available to all attractions. Stores, galore, Costco, close by. Starbucks, down the street. Safe parking on the hotel grounds for a charge $$ per day. Worth it.
Poor place inside and out. We came at the night and I couldn't believe those buildings was hotel. Dirty and warm buildings, stairs, hallway . Rooms are ok, linen looks old. And attention! Roaches!
