This place is in a league of its own. Yes, it is expensive but if you want something special, this is it. The attention to detail is amazing. The rooms are cozy, furnished in a held back western style. The bathroom with granite and wood-looking tiles in a double! shower is what you expect from a five star hotel. A gas fireplace in the room warms in a cold Montana night. The hotel has a fitness room, sauna and outstanding breakfast. Classical music, china and silver cutlery, fresh fruit, eggs, bacon and so much more. No disposables in sight. The staff is amazing, takes every guest to their room, explains all the features in the hotel. We truly enjoyed our stay an unforgettable experience.

Awesome place to stay!!! Lots of room in the house; clean towels were brought to us every day and the towels from the day before were picked up. Super nice people; very quiet area. Perfect for visiting Yellowstone National Park since the gate was only about a mile away. West Yellowstone, Montana is a super town to visit with many great restaurants to try!!! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would love to come right back!!!

Property is well maintained, neat and clean. I haven’t seen even 4 star facilities having such services. Highlight of the trip was help desk support. Derek at the helpdesk shared all the details starting from food to must visit spots within Yellowstone National Park. What I liked the most was the location, close to downtown and more important to the west Yellowstone entrance, only 10 minutes away from there. And of course the staff, they were very friendly, attentive and helpful.

The room was spacious, clean and easily accommodated my family of five. We loved the 'Ice Cream Happy Hour' every afternoon in the lobby, the s'mores kits for the nightly fire pit were also a big winner with our kids. Location is hard to beat, directly across from the Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Centre and a short flat walk (maybe 5 minutes) into the main street. Free parking at the door was much appreciated. Breakfast offerings were great, excellent that most were 'grab and go' style so we could get into the Park as quickly as possible.

Don't judge a book by it's cover. The hotel was full but SOOOO quite. We never heard our neighbors. The room was clean and bed comfortable. The shower had great water pressure. staff communication was just enough and helpful. The kitchen was a plus. saved $$$ on going out in the tourist town. If possible shop for food before getting to town. Next visit to Yellowstone will try to re-book.

    Great location near the national park. Fun restaurants and bars. Try the Buffalo Bar for great bison burgers! Check out Go Go Expresso on Hwy 20 near the Buffalo Bar. It is a cute drive up coffee shop.

    Great little town that caters to tourists and has a down-home feel. Plenty of hometown food and options. Truly is 1 minute to the main gates of Yellowstone making it a great place to enter the park. In my opinion it's the best place as you can choose to do the Upper Loop of the park or Lower loop easily. Trip from Bozeman took almost 2 hours as mostly 2 lane highways. Great walkability to the town hot spots from pretty much anywhere and fishing in local rivers appeared to be plentiful.

    The town had some very “western” restaurants, fantastic brisket, and a few reasonable stores. But it was overrun with kitschy t-shirt stores. Kind of low-end. Only a handful of reasonable stores. Nothing in comparison to Jackson Hole where we started our trip.

    Our family had an amazing time in West Yellowstone.

    Our family had an amazing time in West Yellowstone. It was a great place to access Yellowstone Park. Buffalo Bar was a great place for dinner. Food and drinks were exceptional . The Gusher piazza shop had great pizza and was less crowded than other places. We enjoyed walking around this town and taking in the sights. Be sure to take in the Yellowstone flick at the IMax theatre.
