The best place of our trip in Vietnam. The place has a very different vibe than the other cities. The main area of stay is Tam Coc which has a plenty of options of food, boat rides etc. It's a perfect place for bicycle riding, rental bikes etc.

Tam Coc is more touristy than Trang An.
Tam Coc is more touristy than Trang An. I would suggest skipping the boat tour at Tam Coc and just go for the Mua Cave tour. For Trang An, opt for their boat tour. The views are nicer. Bai Dinh Pagoda is also worth a visit.

Highly recommend a trip to Trang An bird garden walk, this was beautiful and the trip to Cuc Phong National Park. Tan Coc was lively and full of cafes etc. Ninh binh isn't that vibrant just good for getting shopping from the supermarket. The boat trip at Trang An is great.

Stay in/near Tam Coc. Ninh Binh is just a big city. At Tam Coc the main street is very nice with lots of bars and restaurants. The landscape is beautiful, however in the winter the ricefields are muddy.
Mama was so welcoming, one of the loveliest people you’ll meet! We arrived in the morning before check in and she helped us plan our day to get the most out of our time in Ninh Binh. She booked us a motorbike tour and the drivers turned up within 10 minutes of booking! The tour was incredible, as were our drivers, they were very friendly and helpful! Breakfast in the morning was also delicious, some of the best scrambled eggs we’ve had! Would definitely recommend Tam Coc Family Hotel to those visiting Tam Coc and the surrounding area!
Best value for money you will find. Room was a bit like a boutique hotel and seemed quite new or recently renovated - good view, clean with fridge, kettle and comfortable lighting. Bathroom is spacious and so much better than typical Vietnamese bathroom. Breakfast was great and big portion. The host doesn't speak much English, but is very cheerful and welcoming. I left something behind and she made sure to message me. I personally found Tam Coc a bit too touristy, but this is the best location if you want to stay in this village.
We had a horrible experience with Chu Thuong homestay
We book this hotel on 18 Mar 2024 night to stay because we had overnight bus from Hue – Tam Coc arrived 19th Mar 4 am
When we arrived no body at the homestay, we tried to called for receptionist and owner but no body answer so we have to wait 2 hours (4am – 6 am) in the cold and rain until we can’t wait and walk around to find other hotels

- Entrance was dark and slippery
This place was our absolute favorite during our trip to Vietnam. The room was spotlessly clean and the comfortable, big beds was a plus. The location was amazing, very quiet and just 2 minutes walk from Tám Coc centre. The staff was very kind and helpful with everything we needed. They gave us information about the places we wanted to visit and also arranged a driver for as to visit Bài Dihn pagoda and Trang An. They also offer bicycles for free which was the best way to explore the area. We would definitely come back!
The BEST views of Tam Coc. I stayed for 3 nights and have enjoyed the spacious room (with a huge and very comfy bed), refreshing pool after a sweaty day, breakfasts with a egg/pancake/pho bar (+ amongst others fresh fruits, Vietnamese doughnuts, tortilla and muffins).
The hotel helped me with my transfer to my next destination and also helped with my itinerary during my stay.
There were free bikes to take as well (however I did most on foot since it is only minutes away from restaurants etc).

the room was as nice as it n the pictures. you don’t find places designed like this often in Vietnam. very stylish. Breakfast was excellent too and the staff super friendly. Our room overlooked garden, river and mountains and the hotel is a bit off the centre of Tam Coc which we really appreciated. We were the only guests so it was quiet. The rooms are not particularly soundproof which could be an issue during main season. All in all I can highly recommend Little Tam Coc!
We stayed at Windy Fields for 3 days in december. The staff is really nice and helpfull! You can get any advice from them, they help you plan your itinerary when in Ninh Binh. There is a nice pool, and beautiful views of the Rice fields (although it is not very green in december). It is a 15min walk to Tam Coc centre, where the restaurants and bars are, but the hotel restaurant is also open all day and serves excellent food. Bicycles are included, so we biked everywhere.
First time visiting Ninh Binh and decided to stay at Tam Coc area. Conveniently location as well as near a lot of famous places. Everyone on the staff was super helpful and friendly during our time here. On arrival, they gave us an overview of the area and how to get to the locations via bike, motorbike, or taxi. 5 minute walk to Tam Coc, lots of food and coffee options down the street too. Really loved our time here and left wishing we could stay longer.
We loved the place so much we even extended our stay! Everything is super clean, the food and a la carte breakfast is delicious, the staff is fantastic and the rooms are very nice and large. Also, they offer free bikes, which allows you to go to Ninh Binh or Tam Coc quickly.
This is the nicest place we stayed at during our vacation in Vietnam so far.
Last but not least, the price per night is quite cheap for what you get!

The rooms are clean, spacious, she is cooking breakfast for you every morning and brings fresh fruit.
She has bikes and motorbikes for you to rent to move around. The hotel is in the center of Tam Coc you can reach everything on foot.
She is so kind and she allowed me to check out late as I had a night bus to catch.
The hotel was around 15min walking distance to Tam Coc center and close to most of NINH BINH most famous attractions. The hotel provided us bikes for free, which was very useful for going around and discovering beautiful landscapes on our own.
Breakfast was good and the restaurant had a wonderful view on the mountains and the rice fields.
The room was spacious and had a nice toilet.
the facility is super close to the Main Street of Ninh Binh / Tam Coc so that everything is near by. the rooms were clean and the owner is just an absolute sweetheart. he was so lovely and helped us out in so many things. also, we have had the best breakfast so far during our 2 weeks in Vietnam - the pancakes were just soooo good!

Small hotel with great facilities. Roof top swimming pool is a blessing in the heat. Breakfast is execlent with extensive variety. The best part is the staff. Everyone is friendly & helpful.
