France was an outstanding host. It is a charming, clean place. We enjoyed the shared kitchenette/dining area and having conversations with another guest and francel. The area is beautiful. If you have a chance, swim at the very close lake. We also hiked robs trail, saw the penguins and went to the botanical gardens.

Beautiful Area. The concern of the owner was amazing as I forgot to lock my vehicle one night he noticed the passenger door open the next morning. Text and called me the morning requested I please investigate if anything was missing so he can report it to the police. I could assure him nothing missing the wind was quite strong the previous night and I obviously didn't properly close the door.Great concern and appreciated a big Thank you.

Gorgeous lodge, wonderful hosts, terrific location in one of the most stunning parts of the coast. And walking distance to penguins!!! I stayed here instead of Cape Town the night before returning my rental car and flying out. ( the morning drive to CPT was beautiful and only took about an hour, most of which is spectacular scenery.) Seriously regretted not having more days here, as this would have been a great base for my whole trip. The lodge itself is gorgeous, extremely spacious with pool and wide loggias to read or work or enjoy the view, many other amenities I didn't have time to enjoy.

Our host Cheryl and her son Storm were so nice.and down to Earth. We loved them. We wished we could have stayed longer. It was a cozy cottage with walks to the beach amd Penguins in the beautiful Fynbos. The cats and dog were.super friendly as well.
