The house is located in a mountainous area close to Girona. Very green and enjoyable area for holidays. The house has a good size swimming pool and relatively easy to get to by car. Since the house is located in the mountains, you get evening breeze in the evening and night, making it easy to sleep after a warm summer day. Even though the owners live in an adjacent house, they respected our privacy and we havent seen them thoughout our stay.

Excellent hosts. Breakfast was quite delicious. We added dinner option for 2 nights and they were fantastic. Our room was very clean and unique. Met other guests that made our stay so enjoyable. Pool was so relaxing.

The hosts were very welcoming , nothing was too much trouble. They even provided non dairy milk at breakfast as requested before hand. The breakfast was amazing, everything from fresh fruit to hams and a selection of cheeses as well as tomatoes, bread, oil and garlic so we could make our own 'pan con tomate'. There was home made jams and cake. The place was exceptionally clean, everything had been thought of, cold water in the fridge which was very welcome in the heat upon our arrival.The beds were very comfortable and the rooms cool. Our stay was exceptional and we'll be back.

This is an amazing boutique hotel located in a quiet place surrounded by nature with only seven rooms. The buildings are about 1000 years old, in very good condition, comfortable beds, very clean. Despite its age, there is no feeling of moisture there. Very good food and excelent service!!!

We absolutely loved Can Cargol. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped. The hosts, who speak some English and French, are lovely and provided us with everything we needed. Breakfast was . We particularly enjoyed the copious supply of fresh eggs from the resident hens. Be aware that the main living space is outside on the fully-roofed terrace, where there's a very fine sofa and a magnificent view. You can move the table inside to eat, and you can sit and watch TV in the main bedroom, but we didn't need to do either of those things. Parking is easy, just outside the house. The village, where you'll find supermarkets, bars and restaurants, is a few minutes drive or about half an hours' walk away.
