Did most walking around the Langdales. Kids enjoyed the swimming pool which was lovely and warm. Great American fridge/freezer and comfortable cottage. 3 generations had a great holiday. Perfect for a quiet stay away from the touristy areas but close enough to all of the places of interest. The rooms were warm, comfortable and spotless. The highlight was the log burner to add to the cosy setting. Modern kitchen was a plus and a power shower. Bed was comfortable. Arriving to a welcome gift was a lovely touch.

Just the friendly sheep as neighbours, housemartins swooping in and out of their nest and some great walks from the doorstep. The owners were very welcoming and nice to know they were around if we'd needed anything.
