We booked Country House L'Ippocastano when we came over to Italy for my son's wedding. We didn't know anything about the location or the area when we booked it but we had the most fantastic stay there. On arrival we were greeted by Leo, 3 dogs and 10 chickens. We were a bit worried at first in respect of supplies and meals but It was only a short walk into Cerelli where there was everything we needed (supermarkets, restaurants, bars and other shops). We had breakfast every morning which was excellent and we were very well looked after by Leo. It was great to have fresh eggs laid by the chickens and apricots straight off the trees. The facilities and pool were also excellent and the gardens well maintained by Leo. In fact Leo never seemed to stop working and he is a great representative for the location.

The owner, Vincenzo, is truly an exceptional and generous host. He is always looking after the facility and the guests, with an exceptional style. He is not nosy at all, rather he gives free advice, as well as gifts to the guests. I especially enjoyed the breakfast, made with local products (the owner proudly makes the plum and strawberry jams himself!). The swimming pool is particularly great, very warm even by night. One evening, we missed dinner time on the local restaurants, and the owner lent us a dinner table and offered us his own food: this was beyond kind, and we greatly appreciated the generosity.
