The kitchen had al the necessary cooking gear and the host supplied us with a starter pack for the first day. Also in the fridge we found a chilled bottle of good wine! The estate is lovely, with friendly pheasants who visited us at our cottage! There was a lot of space between the cottages and it was quiet on the estate. Ample parking space for your car.

The self-smoked salmon with scrambled eggs for breakfast was wonderful as were our dinner courses that all had a personal and creative touch - the hand-writing of a really great cook. If you're a nice person yourself you won't meet nicer hosts! ;)

The property is lovely, the breakfast was abundant and delicious, and they were very helpful with advice on local sights.

The family-run Mansewood Country House has a 300-year history and is situated within the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. Excellent staff, excellent location remote but you knew that going into the trip. Stunning surroundings as well. Fantastic food for breakfast, honestly we went for a wedding so didn't spend too much time at the accommodation. But the staff (maybe owners) couldn't have helped us more. A gem of a property and if you get the chance it's a must stay.

Set in secluded 20-acre grounds, the Roman Camp Country House Hotel is set on the banks of River Teith in scenic Callander Village. a topical Scottish country house with ancient forniture and country atmosphere. the living rooms with English tapestries and the fireplace and the windows overlooking the river make this place a very welcoming and familiar but elegant place at the same time.I suggest to stay here and I’ll surely be back in a bigger room :)
