Really enjoyed our stay at Gospodaria lui Nea Ion. The staff was very kind and friendly. The place is so zen, piece of Heaven, nature and silence. Great food, tasty fish, tasty pork ( my fav were “pasta de jumari” and strawbery gem). As dessert I ate the best “cremsnit” in my life. The houses are so cute, the fireplaces are awesome and cosy. The Romanian music from the restaurant crated such a great atmosphere. Nice, I recommend this place. Book it and try it!

Very hospitable host! Beautiful rustic country house! Our host showed us a beautiful countryside trail around the village! The old fortified church in the village has amazing views of Viscri.

Boasting inner courtyard views, Casa din Şona offers accommodation with a garden and a balcony, around 7 km from Făgăraș Fortress. This country house is 47 km from Viscri Fortified Church. Mr. Giurgiu was one of the best hosts I ever met! 'Casa din Șona' is not just an accommodation, is a complete experience! As I was born and raised in the city, I never got the chance to experience the rural life, until now. The house itself is looking great, and it is clear to see how much passion these people put in it to preserve and restore it. The garden and the barn are lovely. They also have a treasure hunt game in the house and outside of it. You shouldn't miss visiting the Blacksmith Workshop, the Pyramids (Mounds) of Șona and also, if you have enough time, pay a visit to Făgăraș Fortress as well. Heads-up for future guests: All facilities are great, and we didn't miss anything (the heating was working perfectly, the shower water was warm), so you could try to experience this during autumn/winter too, with no problems. However, I would personally come back during the warm months of the year, as the bathroom and shower are outside the house.
