The breakfast is excellent, including freshly squeezed juice, eggs or pancakes and delicious bread. The staff was kind, welcoming and helpful, but the brother and sister duo are leaving to Manta, to run their own hotel, so let's hope that their replacements will be able to fill in their shoes. Las Penas is the safest neighbourhood in this city, so feel free to walk up 444 steps to the top of the hill and go up the lighthouse just in case the stunning views from this penthouse are not good enough for you. This may also be the best value for money ever, though I had 44% discount on booking.

The location was perfect, right in the middle of the Historic centre. The room was big and clean. They have a beautiful leisure area inside and outside! Breakfast for $4 each was great too! We had an early international flight (7 AM) the next day, so we had to leave the hotel at 3:30 AM. They kindly arranged some yummy box breakfasts that helped us get some energy to begin our long journey.
