Located in Ölfus, 30 miles from The Pearl, Hotel Kvika has accommodations with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a bar. Bed is very comfortable, shower a bit tricky to mount but good amount of water coming from it. Big room and there were coffee, hot chocolate and cookies self-serviced all day.

Opened in June 2018, Hotel 1001 Nott offers modern accommodations 3.1 mi from Egilsstadir. The hotel features outdoor hot tubs overlooking Lake Lagarfljót. There is also an on-site bar. Quiet, stylish and calm. The pleasant surprise was hot bath with a lake view and warm bathrobes. Breakfast was also good with a fresh home-made omelette (not very common in other hotels). Staff was very nice and helpful.

The staff went above and beyond. The location is otherworldly. The interior is finely curated. The rooms are very comfortable.
