Located in Nungwi and with Nungwi Beach reachable within a few steps, Dhow Beach Boutique Hotel has a garden, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi throughout the property and a private beach area. We loved the location being on the beautiful Nungwi beach, great sunsets and a perfectly clean, modern hotel. The staff were so nice and helpful, very thoughtful as well, especially the ladies cleaning the rooms, we always had magnificent flower and towel arrangements and they were just so sweet. The receptionist is also so welcoming and kind. The staff in the restaurant were also very attentive and always coming to give more water if needed. The food was very tasty and well seasoned. The prices were reasonable (in dollars). The chicken and mango salad was to die for :). Bonus points for the breakfast as it was really yummy and different every day which really pleasantly surprised us. Debbie, one of the waitresses was such a golden girl, we really loved her and made real friends (we wish her luck for her upcoming wedding). The wifi was perfect with extenders all over the hotel, great for anyone looking to work from there or watch movies in the room. Overall, we had a great experience and really recommend this lovely boutique hotel.

Everything. Starting from small details, the hotel makes your stay unforgettable. It is boutique hotel means you are saved from crowds, noise and can enjoy the view listening waves and bird singing only. I was in love with my room, all i wanted was there. Breakfast was delicious. Staff and owners are genioully welcoming and assist you in everything. I liked the fact that hotel is situated higher so you are not disturbed by passing by sellers. To swim you can walk a bit on low tide and enjoy swimming on sandy part. On high tide you can enjoy waves while sipping amazing fresh juices. Thanks Zanzi Soul family for beautiful stay. Would love to come back and stay more

The Oasis Residence has an outdoor swimming pool, fitness center, a garden and bar in Jambiani. This 3-star hotel offers room service, a tour desk and free WiFi. Everything was truly amazing I would say almost perfect. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, facilities were great and everything was super new and clean.

Located in Matemwe, a few steps from Matemwe Beach, HEBE Bungalows Lodge has accommodations with a garden, free private parking, a private beach area and a shared lounge. Overall it was a great hotel. We were soo comfortable with our 2 year old! All the staff was super friendly to us and our daughter. The rooms were comfortable and tasteful, beach is amazing. Restaurant is more expensive than average but worth it! Grilled calamary was sooo good we ate one everyday :) Special thanks to all the hardworking staff of the hotel, they were so accomodating, helpful without overwhelming us.

I truly appreciated the relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. The hotel itself is modern, clean, and beautifully maintained. My room was spacious and cozy, with a lovely view and all the essentials for a restful stay. But the real highlight was the staff — incredibly friendly, professional, and genuinely caring. From check-in to check-out, they made me feel at home. They were always ready to help, offer local tips, or simply check in to make sure I was enjoying my stay. If you’re traveling solo, especially as a woman, I highly recommend this hotel. I felt safe, supported, and completely relaxed the entire time. Bahati Sunset Bungalows Michamvi has an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a terrace and restaurant in Michamvi. Offering a bar, the property is located within a few steps of Michamvi Kae Beach. This was hands down the best place to stay in Zanzibar! I was looking for somewhere quiet to relax with amazing sunset views, and this spot couldn’t have been more perfect. The food and drinks were absolutely delicious, and the chef even taught me some Swahili! The staff were incredible: always friendly, attentive, and going out of their way to make sure everything was just right. It’s the little things that really stood out. On my last day, I had a late-night flight and was going to miss breakfast. Without me even asking, they packed one up for me to take on my trip. That kind of thoughtfulness says everything about how much they care for their guests. I’d 100% recommend this place and would come back in a heartbeat if I get the chance to visit Zanzibar again!
