“Really enjoyed my stay at this hotel - everything was just perfect”
“location, just enough far from town”
“Everything was perfect! The place was super clean, the staff was so attentive and nice, good was great, our bungalow was more than we could ask for. We will be back for sure!”
“The setting, the beach, the staff- awesome!!”
“Holbox is great and this location can not be beat. Perfect sunset at night with cool bar and lots of people. The employees are friendly and helpful.”
“Tania and Graceala were great. Very clean, excellent housekeeping.”
“staff very friendly and help full. Food very good”
“Friendly staff (especially Juvey for check in and out), this place was beautiful, romantic, simple yet elegant in the Mayan tradition. The restaurant is great with ocean in backdrop -- best steak. We loved everything about this charming inn and was perfect for our 2nd anniversary!”
“Four rooms on an enormous plot of land. Easily the quietest hotel in Holbox but still great for kids. Definitely the best option at the less resort-oriented end of town (west). Very good value. Every room has an ocean view. The views from the balcony of the foremost building are quite something and many people remarked that this was the obviously the best hotel from which to watch the sunset.”
“Overall casa blatha was a nice place to stay. Very decent for the price. Staff were friendly. Rooms were clean and basic. I would not recommend staying there during the musquito season. We were there in October and it was the season! Holbox as a whole can get many musquitos and casa blatha is further down the beach making the musquito situation even worse there.”
“Local staff is very friendly and helpful, we loved their cooking for us and organising tours and transportation. All facilities are well maintained and charming. Expect no luxuries in Holbox, but charm and comfort while enjoying nature in the Mexican Caribbean.”
“This is a very welcoming and relax place to stay. The shower had great water pressure. Mia and Vicky were very kind and helpful. They welcomed us as though we were old friends. The two other people who run the place were also very nice but I dealt mostly with Vicky and Mia. Mia set my three children ages 11,12,16 on an amazing whale shark trip that also included fishing. My children were extremely proud when they caught fish and then ate the fish in ceviche for lunch. Our friends stayed in another hotel and did not book through Mia and they did not fish but still had ceviche. At the hostel they have a restful lounge area with hhammocks, great WiFi, a very clean and welvoming kitchen as well as a Bar at that serves food and drinks. Love the place and plan on returnind. Great for all ages.”
“Hotel was nicely decorated and the stuff was kind and helpful.”
