“I like the location, the grounds, the modernization of every aspect of the hotel, the spacious rooms and nice selection at breakfast and the price which can't be beat...also a ten-15 minute walk from the Metro Station.”
“The room was spacious and comfortable. The staff was courteous and attentive. The location was perfect in close proximity to the metro, as well as along a beautifully, tree-lined street with great shops and restaurants. The free trolley made for easy perusing of said establishments, as well as the waterfront located at the other end of King Street. Great place.”
“We like the convenience of having so many stores to choose from, beds are comfortable.”
“I was originally nervous about booking a motel, really bad history with motels. This place was amazing! Stayed for a few nights during MCM weekend and it was perfect. Two blocks from the Potomac which has a multi use trail that takes you right into D.C. 1 block from a Great grociery and restaurant. There is a keurig in the room that uses k cups so you can enjoy your favorite coffee. I will be coming back for sure!”
“Location , friendly enviroment”
“Great location. A block down from all the great restaurants and shops on King St. Beautiful hotel.”
“I have to say, I've never written a review on any website. But, felt the need to here. My sister and I were heading into old town Alexandria for the GI film festival. As most of the hotels were booked or charging 2 arms and 2 legs. . We opted to try someplace cheaper. The travel lodge is a brand we recognized and when we read the reviews, we did hesitate. But, we booked the 3 nights and I can't tell you how glad we were! Although it was basic and somewhat bare-bones, the beds were fine. The showers clean (although old tiles), and curtains blocked out any street lights. The location couldn't be beat. We walked to Starbucks every morning (1blk away) and walked into downtown add well (maybe a mile). For free parking, 3 nights sleep and a great location, we paid only a tad over 300-dollars. The other hotels charged almost 100 for the parking alone. Ridiculous. Stay here unless you want a really nice breakfast and the rooms mean the world to you when you travel. Us? We were looking to see DC and old town; not the inside of a hotel.”
“The price, clean of room and location of hotel”
