The family-owned Hótel Lækur is set on an Icelandic horse farm, between the Golden Circle and the south coast. Hella is 10 minutes’ drive away. It offers a sun terrace and a guest lounge. This was the best accommodation during my Iceland trip. The room is very clean and spacious. It has a private bathroom. The facility is in a quiet location. It is in an ideal location to see the northern lights. I was able to see the Northern Lights during my 2 nights stay.

Hrund went out of her way to make us feel welcome and to provide everything we could possibly want for a comfortable stay. She gave us suggestions for places to visit in the area and on the next leg of our ring road trip, told us about the history of the house, and brought us traditional Icelandic food and drink to try. The room/bathroom were spotless, quiet and warm and we would happily stay there again. Thank you Hrund for your warm welcome and wonderful hospitality.

Guesthouse Dyngja is located in Höfn and offers a terrace. This bed and breakfast provides free private parking, a shared kitchen and free WiFi. It’s warm and cozy. Awesome kitchen with utilities. I would prefer this stay anytime of the year.

We had a delicious breakfast and enjoyed the lounge area and game room. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable!

Offering views of Vatnajökull glacier, this former milk factory offers accommodation in Höfn and is just 4 km from the town centre. Free WiFi and private parking is available on site. Perfect!! When I stay in Milk Factory, I was happy. Location was good, staff was so so kind and room was clean. Breakfast was delicious. I want to stay it again.
