large rooms with balcony; well designed with nice decoration elements. Breakfast was exceptional. Good selection of regular meals; but also great small deserts, selection of fresh juices and water with herbs/berries.
Newly opened after a full renovation in January 2015, this 4-star hotel is right next to the Eichenhof Ski Elevator and provides direct access to the Sankt Johann in Tirol Ski Area.

Food was good, staff were very helpful (particularly David behind the bar) and the location was excellent (5 mins to the main gondola). If you are not a skier, there are good spa facilities. The afternoon tea of cakes (and a hot meal) was also excellent for after skiing in the lounge.

It's a small village, with the Vitalhotel Berghof and the church being in the centre. The hotel has a nice garden, which must be useful in the warmer months for children. The two swimming pools in the hotel offer excellent opportunities for exercise when there is not enough snow for cross-country.
We did not eat anywhere else, not counting many coffees and some glasses of wine.
There are many places worth visiting nearby, the villages of Lofer and St.Johann, the lakes of Pillersee, Walchsee, Schwarzsee; and the famous resort of Kitzbuhel with shops and the well-known Hahnenkamm ski area. There are lots of downhill skiing opportunities (not in Erpfendorf itself though) within a radius of 25 kms.
Der Lärchenhof is an amazing hotel. There is so much to do there. The rooms were great. The staff was so nice and friendly. The food was fantastic. You eat at the same table with same waiter every breakfast and dinner. Food was amazing. There was a small ski slope , indoor tennis (open because it was winter), indoor pools , adult only spa area with saunas etc. and a beauty spa. The hotel is probably fantastic in the summer with tennis , golf and outdoor gardens and pool. I want to go back.
This hotel is amazing. I liked everything, especially the kindness and friendliness of the staff, the cooperation and professionalism of the entire team. The outside pool is heated, saunas are fantastic. The property is located in a very quiet area close to Wilder Kaiser or Kitzbühler Alps. The food was excellent, the rooms are large with a balcony. I can only recommend this exceptional place. On top, they are pet friendly......
Great hotel in a quiet place in the mountains. Not so "ski" style, rather wellness, but Steinplatte resort is just 10 minutes away. Amazing wellness area with 2 saunas, turkish hamam and 2 pools. Very friendly staff, they allowed me to use the sauna beyond working hours (consider it works only till 19:00). Very good service in the restaurant
Everything, the owner was more than amazing, going as far as facilitating us some ferret equipment, facilities and comfort were absolutely world class, and we will definitely return!
Bang for your buck, it has to be one of the best hotels where we stayed anywhere in the world.
