The Grand was in a good location, we loved the price of the wine at the Exies club and the food and live music was excellent. The Grand needs some upgrades, the lift smelled, the hallways smelled, the rooms weren't the cleanest, the fan in our room was filthy. The shower head wouldn't stay up and apparently it was the same in other rooms. I wouldn't recommend staying here to others.

A surprisingly lovely, modern and large-ish regional town with access to more things to see than I originally gave it credit for. I only stayed a night on my return to Sydney from Adelaide but am now planning on returning for a longer duration.

We were in Griffith for a Clay Target Shooting competition and as our son is currently living in our caravan due to being homeless from the floods in Rochester we opted to still travel to this shoot and stay in a motel, Apart from eating at the Gun Club we also ate at one of the Hotels and the Leagues Club and enjoyed our meals and you can't go wrong with buying local produce...eg. oranges and mandarins and some lovely marmalade too. I also went shopping and picked up a couple of bargains :)

Griffith was great for food and alcohol - I was a little disappointed with the lack of dress shops and designer shops available - and I was hoping to find a yarn shop too - but no luck. Not to worry though - as we found out above the Italian Festival here each year so are planning to return another time.

Fantstic wineries and specialty farm produce providers.
Fantstic wineries and specialty farm produce providers. New Malt House but did not get a chance to go this trip. Also find out more about Griffith at the Pioneer Park (Recreation of the VIllage life) and Italian Museum.
Please be aware Griffith is a country town and as such, smaller stores do not stay open on Saturday afternoons (1:00pm to 2pm close) and most do not open on Sundays.
The shops in the Mall do stay open as does Woolworths and Kmart.
On Sunday, there are only a few cafes open for breakfast. However lunch and dinner options better with the Legues Club and Ex Servicesmens Club Bistros/Resturants open for lunch/dinner. Resturants in the Main Street need to be booked as they get quite busy.

Receptionist stayed an hour after her finish time to get me settled in. And she had her daughter with her, so the both of them had been put out. That is commendable in itself of course, but in the social media age, money in the bank. This above and beyond approach by staff is a huge plus for me personally and weary business travellers in general. Top shelf.
2 Bedroom Apartment was spacious, like new, clean.
Kitchen had everything needed for a 4 day stay.
Bedrooms spacious - beds were comfortable.
Bathroom nice and big.
Hotel itself was new and clean - Staff amazing and
very helpful and polite.
Hotel situated on the main rd in Griffith - easy walk to
all restaurants and shops
A little dated but arguably one of the biggest & cleanest motel rooms in Australia. Full disclosure I have travelled 13,000 kms in the last three months and stayed in many hotels & this definitely rates as one of the rooms I have stayed in and probably the cleanest too. As an added bonus the bed was super comfy!!!
We liked the spaciousnous & the cleanliness of the rooms....housekeeping should be comended.!!! The club next door was amazing. Wonderful staff, fabulous food....this was an absolute bonus. If we ever come back to Griffith, I will definately stay here & I would without a doubt recomend this to friends & family.
Our room was absolutely massive with comfortable beds and a sizable bathroom. The whole property was clean.
The staff were very accommodating and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them.
This hotel was such great value that we have booked it again for our upcoming return stay.
We didn’t go to hotel as I called the hotel for pick up the key no one answered and once they answered confirmed me to give me a key but when I reach to the hotel no one was they at the reception it was such a bad service I don’t have anything to stay, I have family also.
Great location right in the centre of Griffith. Easy walk to the main street. Well equipped room and everything worked well. Good sized room which included a Balcony. Suited our purpose for a 2 night stay. Also good to have off street parked secured by gates.
We were moved from Griff Hotel to Gem Hotel, because of road works in front of Griff. We were given an upgrade at Gem Hotel. We were very impressed with our room, Staff, location of the Gem Hotel.
Very friendly and accommodating proprietor. I have stayed at several family- and owner-run motels in Griffith; and this is one of the only two I now stay at, in close proximity of each other.
Good location but a better explanation of how to access the carpark would have been appreciated. ( car park is located off the lane behind the hotel- need a key first from reception)
Excellent location just a short walk to the main street. The room was better than we expected and no traffic noise.
We will stay here again when we visit Griffith.
