People are friendly, Don't blink-- it's a town on the hwy. I am sure there are some great things there that don't involve quadding or working at a sawmill, but frankly? I can't image what they might be. If you are on your way to the Yukon or Alaska or Kitimat? You have to pass through, but a half hour more and Smithers has a few more choices regarding hotels and restaurants. I come here for work so---maybe I am not the best judge. But as I say, the people are very nice.
Upon arriving, the hotel did not look as fancy as the pictures so I was nervous, but the room was incredible! They had the air conditioner blasting so it was nice and cool! the beds were great! and the bathtub was an amazing soaker tub. Very nice! Would highly recommend this hotel.
