The motel exceeded my expectations. It was a last minute booking for an unexpected trip, and in my haste I booked the wrong day by mistake. I called and they changed my reservation with no trouble at all. I was very appreciative.

Fantastic location, beautiful view. It was very private and relaxing. It had everything we needed and more. The outside was so nice, we ate our dinner and breakfast on the patio overlooking the River- we didn’t even turn on the TV once. Location was great for our purposes - to go to the Hopewell Park.
Just 0.6 mi from the Bay of Fundy, Hopewell Rocks Motel & Country Inn features free Wi-Fi, playground and an outdoor heated pool surrounded by sunbeds.
Sackville is a lovely town. We were there for the annual Early Music Festival, which was superb. There are many nice places to walk, several great spots for birding, and Mount Allison University has an art gallery with works by Alex Colville. Fog Forest Gallery is small but always worth seeing. Almost everything is in easy walking distance. Unfortunately, a lot of small businesses closed during the worst of Covid-19, and restaurants are few. Many are closed Sunday and Monday. Lots of luck finding breakfast, especially on a Sunday, unless you like MacDonalds. Cranewood is a good spot for coffee, pastries, bread and sandwiches. Fener’s Place is a new casual restaurant with delicious Kurdish food and pizza. It’s worth checking for Avatar Foodtruck on Mondays from April until late fall— it serves amazing Indian food.
Sackville Waterfowl Park is worth a visit any time of year.

Sackville is a very interesting town.
Sackville is a very interesting town. There is a university (Mount Allison) but for us, it is the surrounding marshlands that are the important factor. With it being November, most tourist places had closed for the season and with Covid restrictions, there wasn't a lot to do. My disappointment was not with the town, but with our accommodations. I don't feel we got what we were charged for and their write-up did not properly reflect what we received. A "bar" and a "Fine dining restaurant" were stated in the write-up, but neither were available.......but price wasn't reflective of this. Very disappointing!

A pleasant, friendly small town with attractive buildings and plenty of things to do. There's a university, a wildfowl park, several interesting places to eat and drink, and various attractions (see the local tourism guide for details). There's easy access to the town via the highway that links New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. Beware that many of the downtown shops and restaurants close at 9:00pm though!

Sackville is my home town.
Sackville is my home town. I came back here because my brother passed away and everyone here was so wonderful and kind. The people are friendly, the town is easy to navigate, and there are good places to eat: everything from Pizza Delight to McDonalds to Pattersons Restaurant to the luxury dining room at the Marshlands. And our visit was in the dead of winter, too! Much more to do in summer: Waterfowl park, a beautiful University campus to explore, and lush farmland. Winter-lovers would enjoy exploring the trails out Walker road, on snowshoes or skis, skating on Silver Lake, or just walking the sidewalks of the town and greeting people.

Great tour of the Carriage Shop Museum, and really enjoyed the Waterfowl Refuge 3.5 KM boardwalk through the marshes. Painted Pony pub had better food than most pubs. University town with many older heritage homes.

The University Campus is impressive.
The University Campus is impressive. Crane wood where we had lunch was great - wonderful food and excellent service. Bloom - a flower and gift shop had a few unique features too. Only difficulty was with street signs where one sign only made it difficult to follow.
Location was great! Stayed in Sackville because of the surrounding marshlands, and as it's name suggests, it was quite close by to them. Well known for their cuisine, but when I enquired about getting dinner, was told they weren't running the kitchen this late in the year! Unfortunate, as their website failed to mention this. There was no breakfast option either. Our room was housed in a seperate out-building, which was fine but would have preferred to have been in the old mansion...but not an option either.
This building is spectacular. You are stepping back 100 years! Barry met us personally and was great in ideas for the town. Sackville is small so we went in to Moncton. We had dinner at the Inn and it was 'the best I have had in a very long time'. I had the seafood crepes which I would highly recommend. Wine list is a little skimpy but good value. Bed was a king size in our room and very comfy.
What a treasure Marshlands Inn is. Our room in the carriage house was comfortable, the main house is like walking back in time. Barry was so kind to make us a fabulous dinner when he had let the staff go for Canada day. It was the best dinner of our two week trip to Canada. There's a lovely garden at the back to enjoy and just down the street a large bird sanctuary to explore. Thanks, Barry!
Very convenient to the Trans-Canada. We were warmly greeted and the room was quite satisfactory for the one night stay.
Sackville is a lovely town and there are several excellent eating options on Bridge Street.
It is clean and comfortable. Having breakfast (and coffee!) available is very handy. Staff were polite and professional. It is the only place I would stay of the current offerings in or near Sackville.
Hotel was very clean, staff were very nice, good location, close to autoroute 2, Tim’s across the road as well as Foodland, McDonalds, gas station, and only a couple of minutes from the downtown.
We had a lovely stay at the Marshlands Inn. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our rooms, and the rest of the Inn, were clean, comfortable, and pleasingly appointed.
In room coffee, very quiet despite being close to highway, good value. Room was very clean on arrival, bed was comfortable. Sackville NB very nice town, Very pleased
Nice basic hotel that we used for a short stay on our long road trip, close to fast food like Tim Hortons and very close to the Sackville Waterfowl Park.
