Steeped in history the hotel has been there for decades and is presently run by an extremely efficient and caring team of staff. We would love to return to this hotel and spend a longer time. Our very big thanks to the Reception Manager/Owner for arranging early breakfast to enable early departure and for being so efficient and helpful in every way.

The staff was very friendly and welcoming and I had a great overnight stay. I had booked a single room and that was just the right size for me. The room was clean and offered all the comforts I needed. There is an in-house restaurant with a varied menu and the food was great. Same goes for the breakfast, which was very generous.

We did some snowshoeing in the area, directly from the hotel. We ended the day with some relaxation and warming up in the hotels newly remodeled sauna. The dinner very traditional with an innovative flair. We highly recommend this hotel for charm, relaxation and getting out in the nature nearby.

The staff were friendly and efficient, speaking both native German, good French and some English. The buffet breakfast was excellent as was the evening meal menu. We took the post bus to Fafleralp (10 minutes) where the walks and views are superb. The younger, fitter guests didn't need the bus!
