Nice small lake with a water jet, just like in Geneva, but in miniature, swans and ducks; nice waterfront promenades, big parking available in front of main square with nice restaurants; town surrounded by mountains, nice photos to take

It's located at the lake side with beautiful views, there's a ferry stop there, in close distance there's nice place to sunbath, swim and sup in Lago Mio, really food restaurant in parkhotel schwert. There are several wanderweg & mountain trails from Weesen or Amden, you can also use bus & train to got to the other (really lovely) side of the lake or near Glarus or Klontalersee. Buses run every 30 minuts and link with train in Ziegelbrucke.

Beautiful place for holidays.
Beautiful place for holidays. When we were there most of the restaurants and smaller businesses were shut due to Covid 19 scare. Place looked dead. Hope the small restaurants and shops return to brighten up the town

Check-In times of the hotel allowed for a really long stay at the property with only two nights booked. Rooms were clean and comfy. For me, it was a plus that breakfast was not included, since I prefer bringing my own food (i.a. due to allergies).UUta MariaGermany

The building is in traditionally old fashioned way furnished, but felt very cozy. The room was clean, with a very comfy large bed, and a Restaurant has a nice view form the Terasse and a charmy ambient inside. Nice and easy going hotel crew. The bed was comfortable for two people with nice pillows! The windows opened and it was nice to get fresh air. Very beautiful views of the mountains and lake. The hotel is in an antique very well kept building that gives the place a lot of cachet and charm. Don’t be put off by the shared toilets, they are super clean, not busy and quite cute!! The hotel is extremely clean. The food is delicious. The staff is welcoming.
