Besides, almost always great weather, very nice people, and delicious food, 1 - to 2 days in Nicosia is enough to walk around and check out the sightseeing. I recommend passing through the border to the Turkish side and shopping a bit in the Turkish Bazar (the ladies will like POSH Handbags & Shoes shop) and eating at the local restaurants. Have a Turkish coffee.

Nicosia is a very unique and historic City.
Nicosia is a very unique and historic City. Famously it is still a divided city and it is possible to visit Northern Nicosia which is under Turkish Occupation since the 1970s.
There are many very interesting and fairly unique sites to visit on both sides of the border.
Nicosia is both a very modern city and has also a very old and picturesque sector. The fact that it has a patrolled border, the Green Line, running through it makes it a very memorable experience.
There are many restaurants and tavernas of variable quality in the town. Sadly there are way too many fast food outlets, but there are also some traditional tavernas serving fresh local delicacies.
However my main criticism would be, as a vegan, I found it very difficult to find places that catered for me.

The southern city center is very small--you can easily walk from end to end multiple times in a day of sightseeing--but it is a pleasant mix of developed tourist streets, colorful quaint residential streets, abandoned buildings and weird more or less closed shops with display windows full of junk. The center is worth a day. A second day is best spent on the Turkish side or in nature at the city outskirts.

We went to see our daughter.
We went to see our daughter. There is a huge amount to do on Cyprus and Nicosia is a great base for doing it from. Lots to do in the city and good access to the coast and mountains. Inside the Venetian walls has quite a nice feel and there are plenty of restaurants and shops as well as museums, churches and other attractions. A trip to the North is also worthwhile.
Thoroughly recommend Sawa Restaurant (a Syrian Restaurant at Klimentos 31, Nicosia 1061). Very nice courtyard venue, great Meze, good wine and alcohol list, attentive service.
Very nice hostel, very clean, helpful and honest staff, they clean every day, and change sheets. I stayed 2 weeks there, and the owner offered me one free laundry load as a bonus, that I appreciated. They have a big sunny terrasse, beautifully painted, and free tea and coffee throughout the day. It is within walking distance (10min) to the museum, (20min) downtown, the border with Turkish side of Cyprus, and the main bus station that connects you with main cities. I totally recommend.
Upon arrival we were upgraded to a nicer room on the 5th floor "506 Zebra" with a really fun interior design and the biggest tv we experienced in Cyprus with English language movie channels. The room and balcony were both large and view was great!
Staff was very helpful and suggested we order dinner from nearby www.syrianclubcy.com - we enjoyed it!
There were 4 free street parking spots in front of the hotel.
The room was nice and comfortable. Little minus was the non working aircondition because they would have to changed the filters before we arrived. But luckily, opening the windows during the night helped to cool down the room.
The hotel is close to the old town, so you find always something to eat. And if you want to drive easy with a taxi somewhere, they use the „Bolt“ app (like Uber) to call a cheap ride.
Great smooth check-in guy. Free parking right down the street. Great location walkable to everything. Including the gateway into Northern Cyprus. Nice quiet location, Great WiFi. Nice cold refrigerator. Large big bed. Wonderful rooftop sitting area. Entire room could use a facelift and painting. Again secured parking about a 1/2 block away and guarder. Wonderful say, I would return.
The apartment was absolutely beautiful and very nice and spacious, with 2 x Double bedrooms with brilliant bathrooms / shower facilities. Cooking facilities were great. Even a washing machine 😃.
Not far from Nicosia city centre, with local shops and Mall of Cyprus near by.
Staff were brilliant in communication and helping me when I left the keys in the apartment 🫣.
Location--it was an easy 3- block walk to the Old Town, a 4 - block walk to the Cyprus Museum. I parked my car and never used it during my 4 day stay; I was able to walk everywhere.
Apartment had lots of room(s) and kitchen was fully equipped for cooking and snacking. AND there was a washing machine in the apartment along with iron and ironing board.
It's a quaint family run hotel, leat than two minutes from the old town's main street. They were all very friendly and helpful. They have parking (you NEED that in central Nicosia), and let us have the car there after the checkout! They have an amazing terrace too!
The location of the hotel is excellent, 2 min walk to Ledra street and just in the front of the Central Bus Station. The property is really clean and the staff really friendly. Not noise but well traffic in Cyprus ... I would recommend anyone to book at Delphi.
Close to the InterCity bus station for travelers who come from another city in Cyprus (not so for airport shuttles). Also in alleys which no cars pass by. So quietness is guaranteed (except the church bells in the mornings).
Room is clean with good wifi.
Very roomy apartment near to Nicosia old town.
Big balcony, comfy beds and modern kitchen. Two bathrooms.
It was really easy to check in and out.
There was information about the city sights and nice books about Cyprus tourism.
This is a great hotel to stay if you want to be close to the city centre and the relevant sightseeing. Staff was super friendly and there to help with health problems that arose during my stay in Cyprus.
Hotel location was very good, only few steps to the main streets of Nicosia old town. Breakfast was very delicious, with a lot of different options and home made coffees. Staff were very professional.
