Nice little German town. Seems to have all the normal facilities. Close to the Dutch border. Normal for older German towns, the one-way streets can be confusing but that's about the same every-where.

The city center is really nice.
The city center is really nice. We lived in the Netherlands for some years and this city reminded us of the freshness of Dutch cities.
We tried some restaurants there, but the one that really surprised us is "La Friterie": the owners are really nice, they make real German specialities at a very affordable price. The restaurant is also charming for its location and the decoration inside.

we had visited Goch to take our son to Irrland activity park. The park was awesome and for the price of admission, you get way more for what you pay. The town of Goch itself was nice and their were some good local restaurants in the area. I did not get to expeirence much of the town as i was only their for 2 days and we only went to Irrland activity park.

Firendly small town with a lot of history that I wasn't able to explore as I was only there for the evening to meet up with a friend. The bits I did hear about make me want to go back for a longer visit in warmer weather!
We met up at the "Speakeasy" that was great fun and do a tasty burger with a huge range of variations! We watched many cocktails being created (fascinating stuff!) but stuck to beer!
The town was really quiet by 22.30 and even though the Hotel was right next to the railway, there was no traffic and I didn't hear a train until about 6am.

Goch had a wonderful downtown area that was close to our hotel DePoort. The bakeries and shopping were many. They even had a grocery store to browse around.
We didn't leave the downtown area, so I didn't get to see anything else.
I stayed at this hotel for two months, three days a week, and the experience was consistently excellent. The cleanliness was top-notch, and the breakfast was delicious. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout my entire stay. Some people complain about the cushion, but after staying here for such a long time I actually think the cushions are thin on purpose. Because you can easily fold it, so you have a thicker cushion if you like. Or you can keep it thin if you like it that way more. 🤷🏻♀️
We paid 105 euros for one night in a hotel where we found yellow blots on the towels, dirty floor, no ventilation and air conditioning. Additionally, when I paid for the stay, I forgot 95 euros at the reception. Got back 10 mins later, they were gone. I asked to look up the cameras, but (Jesus!) their camera at the reception was fake (or that was just an excuse). The worst possible impression from that hotel.
I come every year in this hotel, to attend a fair in Dusseldorf, and I find it a good accomodation. The breakfast is very good, with almost everything available (only fried bacon is missing). This time I got a double room (which I have paied for a single), clean, wide, comfortable, nice. They accept a late book in (I arrived at 9,30 pm) which I was denied in another 3 star hotel in Goch.
I spent a couple of nights at this place and I would say it was fair. The first room I was assigned was totally without wi-fi connection. They were very nice and they changed it but.....I had the same problem: when you close the door you lose connection. At least I got a bigger room. The hotel personnel is very nice and available on request. A lot of free parking spots available
The hotel is situated in the city center of Goch, near to the shopping area and many restaurants. The very friendly staff welcomed us when we arrived per bike. The bikes could be parked in a closed facility for which we received a key. Room was clean and the breakfast was perfect.
I had a late booking and the hotel managed to get everything ready in a short period of time. Room was small but all I needed and breakfast was decent.
Staff working at the front office at night did not speak English but somehow we managed to "understand" each other.
clean large room, wonderful coffee with coffee maker in the room, extra large bathroom, very quiet close to lots of restaurants and shops, wonderful staff very attentive and helpful. I definitely recommend this hotel if you are in the area.

Very clean and friendly staff. Free parking, nice swimming pool and sauna. Breakfast was good, missing some cakes though (but being a German hotel, breakfast was... German). Finally, very nice garage for bicycles available a no extra cost.
fab place to stay! great location in Goch, surrounded by nice restaurants and things to do. very clean and secure. beds were really comfy and the shower was great too! we had to check in late at night and they were very accommodating!
Located in the center in this old town Goch.... and this hostel is a cheap option, if you are gong to eindhoven or other big city in the area. The very best place to et true German schnitzel... is restaurant "Heidestübchen".
The breakfast was good. It had what we can expect from a 4 star hotel located in such a small town. The location was good because it is located inside the city but in a peaceful area where it was not possible to ear any cars.
Great value for money and the family room was actually two rooms. Bathroom was pretty big. Shower was great. More of an appartment feel than hotel room.
