Its a strange sort of half deserted seaside town, moatly 2nd homes. We visited in March i imagine it is much busier in summer. Not many places to eat out off season and the places they did have are very basic. One ripped us off by charging 40e for a piece of steak, but it is the closest beach place to Seville. The beach its self and sunset, and surrounding nature areas are beautiful.

The beach and the sea were the best you could expect.
The beach and the sea were the best you could expect. The town was dead. A lot of places were already closed down for the winter in mid- September when it was still very warm and sunny. Matalascanas is a weird place. Spanish holiday makers from nearby Seville may love it but for international travellers I do not rate it at all.

Small town, with long beach and very windy weather. When you want quite and long walking, it's perfect. But when you want some life or picnic in the beach:) , it's not for you. Here is fantastic park Donana and awesome western town El Rocío. It's good for short break. And there is small problém, when you don't speak spanish. Many people don't speak english.

The beach is superb and plenty of restaurants to chose from both ends of the beach.
There wasn't enough beach bars for young people, just one very good one playing great music that closed by night. If this bar had stayed open at night we would have gone there every evening.
Restaurant service wasn't the best but the seafood at the restaurants was amazing.

I enjoyed the fact that i didn’t have to drive my whole time there because everything we wanted to do was walking distance from the apartment.
Expect wind as it is next the Atlantic ocean...
Locals are friendly and helpful.
All the shops you need are there and Supermercado MAS shuts at 10pm.
We ate at Los Pepes, Rompeolas which both are at the first restaurants you will see when you exit the building on your way to the beach.
Both have very good menus.
At our arrival we went to Restaurant Casa Matias which i would recommend.
We also went to the cafeteria next to Supermercado Mas, for grilled snacks.
The food quality is good.
The length of the beach is very good for walking/running/exercising either on the sand or through the promenade.
If you want to go out for drinks and maybe dancing, a nearby hotel often organise events which you could gain access.
The booking procedure and communication with the hotel was excellent
The cleanliness of the entire property, garden and car park was exceptionally clean!
The staff were incredibly helpful and polite
The location was very close to the beach
One of the most required and appreciated things about this hotel for us was the tranquility. Despite other guests staying there, it was very very quiet
We loved our stay here - very well equipped place, easy walking distance to the lovely beach and big seasonal supermarket (July-August), free secured parking, plenty of information about the surroundings, great value for money. Very helpful and responsive host. Would def stay here again if back to Matalascañas.
The owner of the property, Pablo, was a pleasure to meet. He's helpful, friendly, and knowledgable. He even gave us a big bag of fresh local oranges (which are delicious)! Pablo's friendly and generous nature made our overnight stay feel like we were locals in Matalascañas. What more could you ask for?!
Wifi was very good! Facilities in all very good. Walking distance to beach and many restaurants and bars. Though some wear and tear is visible in all a very good apartment for 2 people (would not want to be with 4 in this place though...)
The location near the beach was perfect. We enjoyed walking along the seafront every morning. The garden is nice and shady. We had a problem with the hot water supply that was sorted out quickly and efficiently!
Onsite parking, good location. Comfy beds & good shower, fridge too! So unusual in Spanish hotels. Plus kettle & tea/coffee-making facilities in reception area - another great point! Spotlessly clean too.
Fantastic location. Right above / adjacent to the beach, great view. Very private residential area. Despite being difficult to find, the staff drove and met me. Very nice, helpful , friendly staff.
It's an aparthotel design for families with children in a good and calm location
The pool is design for and very safe for all age children.
The train that you can use to acess the beach
The apartment had lots of space. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The views from the balcony were spectacular. Easy stroll to the beach. Great parking. Quiet neighborhood.
The location is amazing, the beach is 100 meters from the hostel and it's surrounded by restaurants and bars. The room was clean and the staff was very nice and helpful.
