(This review is for the cottage only) The staff was very friendly and the cottage we were renting was clean, spacious and very quiet. This place is very well suited for people who need to wash laundry, have a sauna etc. for example for people biking around Åland. They have a shower and a sauna in the cottage and washing machine plus a drying rack for laundry or wet clothes. Big plus for air conditioning! Good night sleep was guaranteed! Nothing to complain.

The house is spectacular and worth a visit on its own. Breakfast was very good with nutritious ingredients plus small tastings. Garden and small restaurant complete the experience. Room was clean and nice. Bed was good as well. Hosts are very friendly and outgoing.

Everything was fresh, clean and maintained with care. All the food was delicious, I tried a la carte and a couple breakfasts. We stayed in a suite of two adults and two school aged kids. The hotel has a small beautiful indoor pool with a sauna that we booked privately at a very reasonable price.

Breakfast was better than expected from the reviews: there was porridge, different bread, cheese, ham, omelette, sausage, yoghurt, cereal, two different juices, milk, coffee, tea - if you don't fancy a brunch it will do its job as something to begin the day with. Our room was quiet and the beds were comfy. Despite showing its age it was well cleaned. Being situated only a few minutes walk from the harbour and the museum, the location served as a convenient base for a Mariehamn adventure.

This is one of those hotels that offer really a great value when you take into account the amount you have payed and what you have received. It couldn't be more centrally located than it is. It is within the walking distance from the ferry terminal and if you want to take local buses it is just a stone's throw away from GE-huset bus stop that is used by all the bus lines on the island. My room had convenient private entrance and it was quite large allowing a good night sleep. Also, the property is reasonably priced in, usually, quite expensive Mariehamn area.
