Wasn't keen on the town.
Wasn't keen on the town. We avoided the restaurants after reading poor reviews. OK bar by the bridge & interesting shops in nearby street. Indoor market was closed when visited so can't comment. Great to tour from but was disappointed with the limited access to the lake. The Orgues were worth seeing.

This is an odd, sleepy town with many,many empty shops, and virtually no tourism. We know it well as we often go to see friends nearby and we stay in the same hotel. We don't understand why it is declining more and more each time we go. There needs to be an injection of life, money, jobs...something. There are some lovely art deco buildings there, eg the cinema but noone is making the most of anything there. Only 1 decent hotel/restaurant, The Central. Surely the mayor and council could be doing something to perk it up.PatriciaFrance
