Beautiful fishing port. A museum dedicated to the D-Day landings. Fresh fish market daily. Beautiful restaurants and markets.
The property is much better than the photos suggest. I would defintely rebook.

It was chosen for its location on the Coast, to D-Day landing sites and to WWII cemeteries, few of which we have visited on previous French trips, to pay our respects to those who fell during W.W.II
The prices and costs of many things were much higher than where we had spent three weeks, for example the cheapest breakfast was 14 Euros, opposed to eight further South! Bit of a surprise!

i am getting on a bit the walk to the beach was a bit much for me, it is a very big beach but no amenites just blocks of rather ugly housing.
i did not find any restaurants open seems like Thursday was first day they were open and it was a pizza place which i dont like.
As to what would i avoid probably Courseulles Sur Mer!

Nice little fisherman’s place with all varieties of sea...
Nice little fisherman’s place with all varieties of sea fruits. In December a city was almost without tourists. There is a beautiful memorial center about Canadian troops who were involved in WW2 actions on French soil.
People in the city often don’t speak English, some of them very friendly and some of them not so.
Beautiful beaches with exceptional low tides and beautiful gold sand and long walks.
The problem can be if you use public transport as we, to get here and leave can be a little tricky because there is only one bus line going to Caen and then you have train to Paris.

Vibrant fish market every morning, Friday market was much larger than we expected for a small town. Plenty of restaurants to choose from, three very good bakers. Walkable to the Juno Beach Museum where there were guided tours available. Very convenient for visiting the D Day beaches.

I would recommend booking as we tried to get in to other places and they were full!
We also had a lovely day trip to Bayeux and Honfleur (further away).

The location is very good. It's a very quiet neighborhood with easy access to the beach and into town.
The local area has plenty of shops and restaurants.
The property is fairly comfortable to live in.
We did have an issue with the property during our stay, however the management company and owner were very helpful and fast to respond to the issues at the property. We could not have asked more from the staff!
The driveway has plenty of space for two cars.
Sincerely recomended. The apartment is really cozy and clean. The most comfortable large bed on our trip around France! Apartment located in the center of Courseulles-sur-Mer, an authentic small town on the coast, close to shops, restaurants and the marina where you can buy fresh fish. A great place to explore the Normandy coast and relax on the beach or take a long walk on the seabed at low tide
The property is very clean and well maintained. Our room was very spacious and had a lot of natural light. It is extremely well located, a few steps from shops, restaurants, the beach and Juneau Center while it remained very easy to park our car. The host, Marie-Pierre, is most welcoming and will answer all your questions. she uses local or homemade products for the breakfast.
Hosts Rodolphe and wife Laurence, provide exceptional service. Very peaceful place, a short walk to everything in Courseulles-sur-Mer.
Breakfasts and optional dinners were excellent in freshness, quality, and presentation. If you have preferences, they will do their best to accommodate your wishes.
This is regarding the family room (Apartment)
Very simply equipped with the bare necessities. Clean room, very friendly staff. A brasserie is located at the hotel for which we were very greatful after arriving from a long drive. It worked for us for a night as a stopover.
Great location, close to everything, and the room faced the ocean. Wonderful people. It is really just a huge restaurant operation with a few hotel rooms on top of the restaurant and a few more in a separate buildings across the street.
The accommodation was amazing. Clean and nicely furnished rooms. Roman is a fantastic host. Breakfast was very good too. Fresh Orange juice, baguette and pastries. Eggs are also offered. We parked in front of the hotel.
Great location - easy to walk to restaurants and town and to the Juno beach museum. Short drive to Bayeux and Caen. Lovely view. The apartment was simple, but was clean and has everything you need.
I felt at home. Everything was welcoming. The place is warm and at a good location near lots of restaurant and good sites. I recommend the place to stay and enjoy the history around the place.
Loved the location. The town was pretty and interesting and had many restaurants to chose from. The apartment was very clean and new furniture and everything you need for a short stay.
There was no brekkie, it is a Ghite. IT HAS NO WIFI. Be Warned!!!!!!!!!☹️☹️☹️
It is right on the beach boardwalk.
Great restaurants near by and the Canadian Juno Beach memorial.
