The stay exceeded our expectations, the hosts were charming and welcoming. The room was lovely, well laid out and clean and breakfast was wonderful. The other facilities would be great if you were staying longer( we were only there a day), there was a kitchenette, coffee maker, small fridge, kettle and cooktop. There were also basic kitchen necessities like cutlery, mugs, etc...

The hotel is very rustic and I would imagine very cosy in the winter . We specifically booked to experience the Yellow train and choose Latour de Carole as the start of the journey . Even though disappointed the restaurant was closed the host opened the bar with wine and beer . The break fast was typical continental and made early for us as we had a early start . I think we were the only guest staying at that time .
