Excellent location; for exploring the old city, area.
Excellent location; for exploring the old city, area. Great history of the 16th century lodge, which is renovated into this lovely building.
The owner, was extremely helpful, helping me get settled; after my late arrival. Also; very accommodating when it was time to relocate, and prepare for my “Camino de Saint Jacques”.

Unless you haven't noticed there is an international pandemic occurring. One of the negative effects of this has been the closure of boarders in Europe including France. Hence I haven't stayed at this hotel!!!!!!

The medieval festival in September is spectacular.
The medieval festival in September is spectacular. It is wonderful to see 6000 people in elaborate and beautiful costumes enjoying the medieval/renaissance atmoshpere. Dancing, listening to minstrels, walking from venue to venue, interesting theater, seeing the fabrication of medieval arms (arrows, axes, knives), eating, drinking, shopping for costumes, furs, slingshots, arrows, horns, chapeaux), watching falconers - all is so enjoyable! Congratulations to everyone in the town who contributes to this fantastic community spirit!

A traditional old French town with a limited number of attractions, some requiring a climb. We made it up to the Rocher St Michel (268 steps but with strategically located benches), skipped Notre Dame de France (at least the rock has a chapel at the top and not a garish statue), and visited the cathedral. A good day's worth of tourism. Recommend Le Chamarlenc for food.

A fabulous French town with great character and charm.
A fabulous French town with great character and charm. Plenty of old market squares, fountains, shops and wonderful restaurants. My favourite area was the Plots square and the Restaurant du Plots. We stayed in the apartments above the restaurant. Definitely worth a visit for all you French fans!

We were here because it was the end point of a hike of the Jakobsweg in Switerland and Chemin de St. Jacques in France. Had been here once before, but had no time to look around. This time we took four days, and got to see almost everything we wanted to. Get the combined card for all the sights at the Tourist Bureau, then pay close attention to opening hours.
Le Puy is a very important stop (or starting point) for Le Chemin de St. Jacques, and its influence is everywhere. You might want to walk out a few km on Le Chemin following the markers to get a feeling for that experience, if you are interested.

This hotel is a little gem. It's not our usual type of hotel, but it turned out to be really good. The staff were super friendly. The rooms are thoroughly well equipped. The location for the old town was perfect. Literally 10 minutes walk into the town. Also, great, secure parking. Although a charge is made for each night's stay. But it is well worth it.
Outstanding location, right by the beautiful city park. City is small enough to be walkable. Car park is conveniently located right next to the hotel in case you want to drive and explore the beautiful countryside. Restaurant in the hotel is good, or you are close to many city restaurants if you prefer. Spotlessly clean, very quiet.
Beautiful small hotel in the heart of the historic section of Puy. Very old house that has been cleverly redone. Wonderful artwork, a charming host and the luck of finding a parking space on the block made for and excellent stay. Loved the eclectic decor
The apartment is very nicely laid out, with large windows in the main room with nice views and lighting. Very clean. It's a nice space to relax in. Good location, only a few blocks from all the attractions in Le Puy-en-Velay.
Good value for money. Reception staff member was great, very friendly. Good underground parking for a reasonable price. Comfortable bed. Decent sized room. Bright colour scheme throughout the hotel which I liked.
The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The breakfast room was lovely. The front desk staff were very helpful in giving me instructions to enter the hotel late at night. The location was easy to find.
This property feels like home away from home. You absolutely will not find a better or more central location. Here, you will have a comfortable and relaxing stay without being confined to a shoe box hotel room.
Location is right on the Camino. The bed was the most comfy we have had so far. Food options exist in the hotel and next door, and grocery across the street. Plenty of hot water (I even took a bath).
it’s a room in a man’s apartment. the room is perfectly useable, but I did not understand whet I was booking given my lack of French. for that price I don’t want to be sharing some guys apartment.
The hotel was alright with a good location, but the attendant kept making noise outside our room and demanding we go eat breakfast. The hotel didn’t charge us for breakfast.
Very good restaurant. Good breakfast buffet. Quiet central location. Friendly, helpful staff. The best Ibis we have stayed in. Very good en suite shower.
