What I expect from Best Western Plus but hardly ever get. Very easy to get to from main highway from Lille to Paris. Plenty of parking by the hotel. Comfortable beds. Restaurant on the premises. The hotel smelled very nice and was clean.
Dating from as early as the 18th century, this chateau offers 3 wood-paneled lounges and a poker room. You can go rowing on its moat or visit the Chaalis Royal abbey, just 1.2 mi away.

The staff was very attentive and kind. I arrived 3 hours early for check exhausted from a transatlantic flight. They offered me coffee and tea and made a room available for me well ahead of check in. Breakfast was amazing, with honey collected from their own beehives, tasting of the intoxicating aromas of the morning’s walk. Most foods were either made in house or from local artisans and cultivators. The space was tranquil and the views incredible.
It’s a highly recommended stay, especially Fridays and Saturdays when their chefs prepare dinner with hyper local items on the menu.

The hostess had very helpful recommendations for nearby restaurants, all of which were spot on. The bed and breakfast is well located in the old town section of Senlis, and comfortable walking distance from the medieval sites of the town and local shops and restaurants. The B&B was a terrific base for exploring the city.
