A very good base for visiting the Normandy Beaches and surrounding areas. Not as busy possibly as say, Arromanches-les-Bains in high season. Good parking and fabulous beach. Would definitely recommend.

Perfect for visiting all the D-day beaches and All allied invasion museums would highly recommend this area if interested in WW2 history. Beautiful beaches and stunning countryside and so much easier to travel on French roads than the uk.

The history and the local people.

The history and the local people. I met people with whom I will continue to correspond. I was able to find the location of the house where my father's field hospital was set up. Marie-France Benoit-what a star! Ivan Thierry-also a star!

Restaurant was awesome and reasonable prices. Also the breakfast was good. Garden areas were nice. Location is excellent if you want to visit Omaha Beach which is straight across the road 50m, but behind a house in front of the hotel. It is about 100m walk up the road the hotel is on to the WW2 pill box which was a major feature of the invasion. There are many story boards around there explaining what happened on D Day. The beach is great for swimming and i do not think it will get very busy even in summer.

Across the road from Omaha beach and a couple of the memorials within easy walking distance. The hotel accommodation is simple and there is everything you need. Spacious room, good sized balcony. The restaurant is exceptional, great food and a good selection of local ciders and good wines. The staff were amazingly helpful, friendly and welcoming. We could not have hoped for a better stay. Thank you to everyone.

Hotel is located in the second line from the beach, beach (sandy) is nice and up 100 m from the property. Parking is in place, we have private area in yard with sun umbrella. The nearest shop is in range of 10 minutes drive. The hotel restaurant is situated in the same are, the second best (depends on your priorities) restaurant is also in 10 minutes drive.

The hotel is adjacent to a small, local restaurant that is obviously known by the locals. Everything (mostly seafood) was excellent. This is a private hotel and does not seem to be overly known to the many-many D-Day/Omaha Beach tourists that flock to the area. That is a shame in that is is perfectly located for that purpose.

The location was amazing! Right on the water close to museums and restaurants. The restaurant at the hotel was a great experience. The breakfast buffet was a great value and easy in the mornings. The pictures on here do not do the property justice. It's gorgeous and the staff were all super friendly and helpful.

Very close to excellent, uncrowded beach with warm water just steps away. There seem to be relatively few accommodations in this vicinity, so we would stay here again for the convenient access to an amazing and uncrowded beach. Few restaurants nearby, but hotel dinners are adequate and reasonably priced.

The breakfast was adequate but over priced. The facilities were bright and breezy, perfect for the location. Extremely clean. Staff were bi- lingual and extremely pleasant. Although we did not have dinner at the hotel, the menu looked good. The location was great for Omaha Beach.

I read some of the complaints, wasn't expecting much. But I found a place with a lively patio crowd, restaurant and bar., a pool, and most of all very close to Omaha Beach. This old soldier would give it 5-stars. Many heroically expensive hotels don't give as much.

The property is in a good location with a restaurant next to it that serves delicious food. The place was spacious with all the necessary household appliances. Standard fridge (not the small hotel ones), washer, and dryer. Our room had two showers which was perfect for 6 of us.

Very close to the beach and good location to reach many sites. The room was nice and clean with plenty of space for my family of 4. We did not have the buffet breakfast due to scheduling but is convenient to have restaurant attached to hotel.

Super friendly host and staff, hotel decor is dated and a little shabby but to be honest it was perfectly acceptable for our needs and the evening food was very nice indeed. Highly recommend taking the breakfast deal as this was spectacular.
