Good base for hiking and lots of visitor attractions and good restaurants nearby and in neighbouring villages. The Fort is a must do! English run indian restaurant the best in the south of France we have found in four years of living here, and when we visit again will go back here!

I came to this town 25 years ago as it was a great location for walking trips. It was always on my bucket list to come again and finally this year I came and did the walks again. Surprisingly I was more fitter this time round. Vernet-les-Bains has adequate amenities and restaurants for good eating

It is alo a good starting point for walks into the hills. Situated near the town center. Town itself it's quite interesting and worth a longer walk.
