We loved the old building and the cute smallish room in the attic. We had a gorgeous view over the town and the sun was shining in the room creating a wonderful light. The hotel is in the middle of the village and the restaurant is outstanding!

We stayed for two nights, dining in the restaurant the first night and breakfasts both days. Our first night meal was excellent! And the breakfast choices were outstanding and very well presented and tasty. Claire and Stephanie went above and beyond for check in and bar service. We would definite stay here again. Beds were comfy and the towels nice and fluffy. The perfect location for walking around the village and visiting The Model Village, the Motoring and Toy Museum and the lovely walks along the river. Loads of great places to eat and good pubs. Please note, that as in most older properties, there is no lift.

Delightful stay. Rooms were updated yet keeping with the ambiance. Evening/ check in staff was incredible. We were stranded as we had car trouble and had been dropped off. Evening Staff was helpful with bus suggestions, restaurants etc.

A lovely historic town with some tourist attractions within walking distance. We spent a day exploring the town and visited the model village, the motor museum and Birdland. There are many cafes and restaurants to choose from; in warmer weather it would be lovely to eat outside and enjoy the views of the river.

Food options are varied, good old English, Italian, fine dining and tapas. The village is beautiful with many old properties that are well maintained. Pubs are oldy worldly and very busy at weekends. Plenty of good coffee shops. Paid Parking is available at either end of the village if staying over 1 hour so no problem parking. Village parking is restricted. Walking options are all around and many locals are happy to oblige if you need directions.

Absolutely stunning, beautiful place full of character.
Absolutely stunning, beautiful place full of character. We visited slightly out of season so was not too busy. Smiths is an amazing restaurant, specialising in gourmet burgers, you will not be disappointed! Lots of other independent shops selling a range of crafts, antiques and much more.

Beautiful village but extremely popular.
Beautiful village but extremely popular. Try and avoid visiting over a weekend if you can. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon and there were so many people everywhere! And this was in October. Monday was much quieter but still people wandering around.
Much quieter in the evening once all the day trippers had left. Sunset was a great time to photograph the village with our the crowds.
Lots of eateries. Found the Wellington pub not as busy as the fancier looking places, but they did a very cheap and delicious Sunday roast lunch.
Bourton was a good base for us to see many other villages in the Cotswold area.

Broadlands Hotel was a fantastic base for the Cotswolds, we loved Bourton-on-the-Water and what it had to offer. We stayed in Room 3 which was small but had everything we needed for a 2-night stay. The hotel was nicely decorated and the lounge was lovely to spend time in. We were able to park easily behind the hotel and breakfast every morning was delicious and great to wake up to. Would highly recommend Broadlands as a base for anyone looking to do a Cotswolds trip!
Perfect location. Set back from the main street and stream which is the heartbeat of the village, yet easily accessible to the town, restaurants, etc. Oversized bedrooms and bathroom for three was better than expected. Very friendly staff who were happy to chat and share information of the area. Excellent, huge, and satisfying English breakfast along with other options. Lovely sense of history amidst the architecture of the hotel. Plus, it offered free parking.
While Bourton on the water was an amazing place to visit, Sunny Nest made it all the more pleasant and relaxing. The room was cozy and had all the amenities and space one would require. The owner Jill, ensured we had everything we needed. From the little chocolate treats in the room to a sumptuous breakfast served, along with everything we'd need to navigate across the town.. everything was very thoughtful and made us feel absolutely comfortable.
Great pub in a gorgeous village in the Cotswolds. Room was comfy and had a nice bathroom with a good shower (always important to us). We ate dinner in the pub, which was good, it's not cheap but you pay for the location. Breakfast good, my husband enjoyed the Cotswolds Breakfast. Very convenient for visiting Cotswolds, we would have hated very busy Bourton on the Water, here you are close enough but far enough away to escape throngs of tourists.
Southlands B & B exceeded our expectations. It was very clean. My husband looked forward to waking up to an full English breakfast. It’s located walking distance to Bourton on the Water. This is definitely one of the most beautiful villages in the Cotswolds. I loved getting to the downtown area before the summer crowds invaded. The owners were lovely & very accommodating to our needs. Highly recommend. 👍👍
The house itself is perfect for a sociable stay with friends or family. Perfectly located just a short walk to the town centre it makes for a great base for exploring the surrounding area. We were staying at the venue as we were getting married in the Cotswolds and the hosts were kind enough to leave flowers for us upon our arrival. Everything thought of, very clean and comfortable, highly recommend!
The Lansdowne is a wonderful quaint, elegant, well-appointed inn. The staff and proprietors were friendly and helpful. Out the front door of the hotel, everything in the town was walkable and easily reached. The breakfast was delicious and I especially appreciated healthy options.
really lovely hosts who are super sweet, welcoming and kind. they were definitely the highlight of our stay at Bourton on the Water and made the town feel really cosy. Great amenities and amazing breakfast :) Cannot recommend Liz and Alzira and everyone at The Chestnuts enough!
Great breakfast at the hotel across the road. The cottage was clean and spacious with nice decor, and is a fantastic location to explore Bourton on the Water. There is a kids play area behind the property which was a nice bonus.
the service they were super nice and even better than in other 5 Star hotels we went. They offered to take our luggage up the stairs which didn't happen before in other 5 star hotels. Always with a smile and excellent service.
In the centre of bourton on the water , a traditional styles cotswold pub/hotel with brilliant staff that made us feel welcome from the get go & felt like freinds by the end of our stay . I would definitely like to return .
The location was very nice in a little Cotswold village in easy proximity of both Stow on the Wold and Bourton on the Water. Breakfast was good. There was a decent choice of cooked breakfast, and it was cooked to order.
Excellent location to explore Bourton on the Water on foot and the rest of the Cotswolds by car (or a hike!)
Clean and tidy property with everything you could need for a weekend and great to have parking available.
The hotel was just what we expected from an 18th century hostelry. The location on the river couldn't have been better. It lived up to all our expectations. Bourton on the water is picture perfect
Location could not be better, car park outside, village 1 minute, the countryside walks I minute, all good. Hotel is what I would expect for the location and "experience" of the Cotswolds
The room was lovely. The staff were incredibly welcoming and could not do enough for us. We stayed with our dog and the hotel was very very dog friendly. A really lovely place to stay.
Such a beautiful hotel that was in the perfect location for exploring Bourton on the Water and The Cotswolds.
We would definitely stay here again and will recommend to others.
