Great place to explore the countryside and visit local attractions (Hever Castle, Churchill house, Tunbridge Wells). The area has some lovely places to eat and drink, especially The Wiremill Lakeside Pub & Inn.

Pleasant stay, staff were lovely and the breakfast selection was excellent and really good value. The facilities were clean and well prepared, the bar was comfortable and a good selection of drinks. Overall we had a lovely stay for our event at Lingfield Racecourse.

Such a horrible experience.
Such a horrible experience. There was no hot water and heating wasn’t working so it couldn’t get worse. A member of staff tried to fix gas but he couldn’t. I don’t think he got enough knowledge to do so. Please do not waste your money, I had to leave the room at 7 am in the morning because it was too cold to sleep.

A beautiful part of the country, plenty of historical buildings and gardens to visit. England at its best. As well as staying at Gravetye Manor we visited Pashley Manor gardens and popped to Hastings for a stroll by the sea. We were lucky with the weather and found our weekend there one to remember. Below are a selection of photos of Pashley Manor, to go with those of Gravetye Manor.
The hotel certainly provided an environment for myself and guests (5 adult ladies, one double and one triple room) to enjoy quality time together. The cleanliness and quality of the rooms were great; helpful and friendly staff who were very happy to assist in delivering a suprise birthday cake during our evening meal; Spa facilities were lovely minus the pool; great varied breakfast and dinner was lovely too
The location was amazing, right in the centre of the historical part of town.
The room was very spacious (we stayed in the Sackville room) and the staff were the outstanding part, very friendly and helpful, allowing us to use the fridge in their bar to keep drinks cool for a wedding. The full english breakfast was amazing. Thank you for being lovely hosts.
The studio apartment is prepared with the basics for a pleasant stay, TV, sofa, washing machine, bed, wifi, etc. In the kitchen there are utensils to prepare your meals.
It is a very quiet area and very close to the East Grinstead train station.
Excellent communications and immediate responses.
When I have to return to the area I will book again.
Friendly check-in at CJs downstairs. Owner had agreed to hold packages that were mailed to me at hotel and Gosia [sp.?] brought them to my room. Room was quiet and comfortable. The following day, another woman working in the cafe made a taxi reservation for me.
We liked everything...a lovely change from the sanitised chain hotels of today. Brian gave us a great welcome, our room was on the top floor...large, very comfortable bed and everything one could need was provided. Room was spotlessly clean.
Good location, and hotel room. Staff tried their best to help with a query I had (from booking.com website); generally all very good. I have known the hotel for a long time so it is a favourite.
Gravetye is the most beautiful manor house hotel. Everything was wonderful from the initial welcome to the room, the fabulous gardens, the exceptional service. We had the most fabulous stay.
Fantastic place with a remarkable garden.
Everything you can expect from a traditional english country hotel with a great restaurant
passing time around the fire - so relaxing
Pure luxury - well worth the indulgence!
If nothing else, go for the food. Michelin-starred chef, George Blogg’s dishes not only taste amazing they are a work of art too.
i have stayed in your hotel on a few occasions - the room this time was much smaller then what i have been given in the past - however the bed was much more comfortable
Access , keys for front door and own suite.
Fridge in room.
Excellent breakfast both English and Continental.
Car parking.
Quiet area ofEast Grinstead.
