It’s a beautiful tiny village with not much in it. Hotel which needs upgrading but very friendly staff. Meals were ok too. You need a car to get about, as no taxi service. It’s not that far from Oban.

Loved our stay at this house.
Loved our stay at this house. Views great, facilities include a sauna and spa bath which we used regularly.
The wifi in the property was very strong, enabling us to stream sporting events.
Really like the Scandanavian style of the house. The vinyl tiling in the main room is very practical when you have 2 collie dogs which, with Argyll weather, were soaked fairly regularly!
Would have loved to use the log burner but the house was warm enough without it . The house is about 2 miles off main road but its a great place and a very interesting area to visit.
Loch Melfort Hotel bistro about 4 miles away is dog- friendly and has excellent food. Other really good eateries on our travels were Oban Inn (aporox 17 miles), Crinan Hotel (20 miles) and Oyster Seafood Bar at Ellenabeich on Seil Island (:15 miles) which were all dog friendly.
