Dinner was lovely but pleased I paid for bread at the start and extra vegetables as the main course portions would have been too small. Hotel is beautiful and breakfast was very good. Service was fabulous

Lovely exterior and atmosphere - good vibes, also gets busy with locals as it's their gym and pub (especially during football matches)! The room had a good size and facilities are great. Breakfast hours are very good and the options are tasty. Pub & Grill menu is delicious as well and well priced - make a reservation though, especially if there's a Mancunian match on! Location is a bit away from the town, but next to an Aldi and a 15-20min walk away from a retail (industrial) park.
This independent family-owned hotel provides a peaceful location just outside Chester's historic center, yet only a 10-minute walk away from the city center’s amenities and attractions.

Lovely location. Hoole village has many good places to eat. A short walk into the centre of Chester which is just right if you like walking. Breakfast was good. The room was in need of updating but not an issue. Complimentary water, crisps and biscuits in the room.
A charming hotel steeped in history, set in the historical town of Port Sunlight, within easy reach of Liverpool and Chester, and just 5 minutes from the M53.

Very friendly staff nothing was too much trouble!! Perfect location the village is beautiful
Restaurant and breakfast staff were cold age rude.
Restaurant and breakfast staff were cold age rude. The prices charged for the food were too high for the quality of the food. At dinner, the chips weren’t cooked and this was clear, the fish was also too fatty and cold. When this was raised with the waitress she was rude and unapologetic. At breakfast the staff seemed disorganised and chaotic. The sausage was fatty and poor quality, for the prices charged and the quality and variance of food on offer it wasn’t value for money. In addition, the thermal spa was meant to be included in the price. This wasn’t the case the spa staff again were not friendly, felt short changed.

Everything was really close and easy to get to ,Chester/...
Everything was really close and easy to get to ,Chester/Cheshire Oaks ,Ness Gardens and the boat museum were all approx. 15 minutes away.
We only had food at the hotel we didn't feel the need to eat anywhere else as the portion sizes were above average and both breakfast and dinner were excellent .

Scenery and extremely friendly staff made a pleasant visit.
Scenery and extremely friendly staff made a pleasant visit. The room whilst requiring some attention was pleasant for the cost. One must be prepared for extra charges on some menu items (if offered). Not really suitable for the physically disabled for which we are,but one visitor was finding the stairs difficult even to the first level with less steep steps, We went up three levels and they became narrower and steeper as we progressed. The stay was enjoyable but we would not be returning to this location.

You need to go by car or arrange a taxi as it's out of the way. If you're looking for peace and quite it's a good place to go. For those who like nature there is a hidden gem called Burton Mere which is an RSPB reserve. There are gentle walks and lots to see. It has a little basic cafe. Entrance is just £6 and you can hire binoculars. You're not far from Chester and Liverpool if you want a day out. Also not too far from North Wales coast and New Brighton. West Kirby and Parkgate are also nice visits.

We had a very relaxing evening at Ledsham.
We had a very relaxing evening at Ledsham. The pool and Spa facilities were excellent. The staff were incredibly helpful and pleasant even in their very busy environment they took time to ensure our needs were met. The old mattress / bed , and the awful cooked food were spoilers . I complained about the food and was given a refund for the two dishes which were inedible. This was our first hotel stay in almost two years because of the pandemic, so we were happy to be there. It was unfortunate that we did not sleep well because of the mattress and did not eat properly because of the cooked food.

West Kirby beach lovely although not much for kids no arcades but little Brighton beach has arcades and Faye’s for kids, Cheshire oaks good for food hotels and shopping, Parkgate world famous ice cream s nice walk
The hotel managed to make us a booking for dinner despite being very busy. Booking dinner in advance is essential as the restaurant is limited in size and gets booked up. Both Breakfast and Dinner were excellent - The Chef did a great job. The building is beautiful and off the beaten track, which was perfect for a good nights sleep. Plenty of parking too!
lovely comfortable room. large, very comfortable bed. everything spotlessly clean. shower over the bath, but that was fine because there was a glass screen rather than a curtain. We were given a room but the fire exit, to make it easier for dog-exercising, which was thoughtful of the hotel staff. Excellent choice at breakfast.
Dinner was lovely but pleased I paid for bread at the start and extra vegetables as the main course portions would have been too small. Hotel is beautiful and breakfast was very good. Service was fabulous
The Hotel is set in some lovely grounds and the room was very good. The food was very good as was the service and best of all were the staff who were great.
