Lovely place to visit easy walks as mostly flat a variety of establishments to cater for all budgets. Very quiet out of season and in the evenings , very busy in summer on the sea front but not ram packed.

Lots of places to visit close by.

Lots of places to visit close by. The Maritime Museum and Submarine Museum are excellent and an explorer ticket gives a years access to 4 museums and a harbour boat ride. I found an excellent tea room and a lovely baby clothes and toy shop in the town. I am a sea swimmer and there were several groups that welcomed me to swim with them. Roads were less busy than I was expecting.

Fantastic location at any time of the year. Local shopping high street.parki g can be an issue as it's pay metered. Plenty of cafes, restaurants, pubs. Great views across the Solent to the Isle of Wight. Very clean area. Local to M27, Gosport for ferry to Portsmouth

Plenty of seats/benches along the seafront if you want to take in the lovely view across the solent. There are quieter spots away from the town area. Lovely children's play area, cafe and toilets by the town area.

I actually went back to Lee to remember my holidays as a child pre and post war. Lee is a find place to relax - not much to offer in terms of amusements but a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the sea front and scenery of the IOW. Good pubs and eateries near by.

We only stayed one night as we were attending a function but the area where the guest house was, was quiet and near to the beach area. Seemed to be popular with dog walkers in the morning. We didn’t actually go into the town so can’t comment on that. Travelled by car into Portsmouth to visit the Mary Rise exhibition.

Modern and tastefully decorated, big fluffy towels, bathrobes, decent wifi etc feeling more like staying in someone’s home than a hotel. Having a small fridge in the room is a great idea too that more places should take note of. The “emergency” box was also a nice touch when we discovered we’d left behind a hair brush and could take one from there. Great location a stone’s throw from the beach and within a five minute walk of local shops, and nice pubs and restaurants.
