Nice village, not much there but easy to get to all the places we visited. Lindisfarne, Bamburgh, Alnwick, seahouses to name but a few. The black bull inn is a fabulous pub and restaurant. Delicious food and the rooms are beautiful.

A beautifil wee village with 2 very good pub / restaurarants at either end. A great spot to decamp and strike out to Bamburgh or some of the other glorious spots in this beautiful part of the country. It's one of those places you'd think too good too not keep secret! Plentiful and well-priced. The best feature of the hotel however is the lovely, friendly and helpful staff. They made us feel very welcome and gave lots of advice about local trips, excursions etc. Only negative about the property is the lack of hand-pumped beer!! We will return.
