Newton Brewery Inn was just a short walk from the town centre and supermarket as well as being next to the river, so for my trip this was a great location.
Middlewich is only a few minutes drive from the M6

Our anniversary meal at El Padrino restaurant was fantastic, nice staff, great food and value for money.
Not overly impressed by the town itself but the Big Lock pub is in a smashing location.
Local people were really friendly and helpful.

Loved the place it was OK for our stay and we could compare both rooms one was bijou and modern for our daughters and ours a large family suite. You could hear the road traffic but I can sleep on a washing line so it didn't affect any of us. The staff were so helpful and happy in their work.

I didn't really see much of Middlewich as I had an itinerary in Nantwich already organised. You will need transport to see any of the local sights, although I suspect there could be lots of local walks (but I haven't confirmed this).

Middlewich is quite a picturesque town with some pretty buildings and good walking along the canal; it also boasts good supermarkets and other facilities.
It's a short drive from tourist attractions such as Chester city centre, Chester zoo, Beeston Castle, Northwich and the Anderton Boat Lift, so a good base from which to explore Cheshire.
I was very impressed with the whole set up. The staff were consistently polite and helpful. The room was clean and spacious and the breakfast (included in the cost) was excellent (veggie option only for me, so I can't comment on the meat-eater variety!). I have needed a fair few places to rest my head while travelling in the past few months, but I can honestly say that I have not been in a hotel/guest house/B&B where I IMMEDIATELY felt at home, welcome and valued.
We booked bed and breakfast for 3 nights. The first night there was a roudy party which went on until 2 am in a nearby room, we had difficulty rousing the proprietor to assist in ending this. In the morning we were told there was no breakfast available due to "the chef being ill". No offer of a refund in this respect was offered although we did ask for one which has never been received. We moved to another hotel for the third night.
Very pretty location with nice garden to chill in after a long drive. Caroline and Clive were incredibly helpful and great hosts. Breakfast was excellent and set us up for the day. Would go again if we are in the area, much nicer than sterile hotel chains you find dotted around.
There was nowhere in Middlewich to get breakfast on a Sunday and according to friends its not much better in the week. I wish I'd known that the narrowboat did evening meals the Menu looked really good but we'd already arranged to meet family. Will definatly try it next time
The best perk of the property was free parking behind it, however, this did not belong to the hotel so not really a positive of the property. Therefore, the price of around £45 a night probably the biggest plus but I would not be prepared to pay that again.
A great location close to the motorway but far enough away not to be bothered by noise, located on the edge of town but easy walking for pub or restaurant although the food at the hotel is absolutely top drawer you do not need to wander.
Great location, 2 minute walk into Middlewich. Lovely modern hotel. Very well run, plenty of friendly staff available. Delicious fresh breakfast. Room modern and comfortable. Plenty of free parking.
Breakfast was in the car park. Facilities were none existent, other occupants talking all night, difficult to find as it’s called something other than the advertised hotel.
Breakfast was very nice with lots of choice.
Easy to find and convenient for our reasons for visiting.
Lots of space inside and outside the hotel was appreciated
I liked that I could book all my team into the hotel. It was unfortunate that the bar area was being refurbished. The rooms were clean and comfortable.
