The central location with a balcony to view the sea. Lovely to look out at night and see the moonlight on the water.
The room was serviced each day and free-streaming was available on the TV.
The Rex Fine Dining restaurant was just up the road and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal there.

Lovely town on a steep hillside, with a sandy beach at the bottom. Really lovely food at the pub The Spyglass.
Botanical Gardens are wonderful, cliff walk lovely in both directions, and a great walk up on to the downs from where you can see the whole Island. Did everything on foot and by bus.

Really loved the town, wasn't too big.
Really loved the town, wasn't too big. Had shops to cater for all you would need. Very clean. Every where we went the people always welcoming and so friendly.
Lots of great walks on your doorstep whether it is along the coast or across the downs. Or there is a great bus service that can take you to the popular attractions.
Eating out there were all manner of food you could enjoy. Also at all price levels to suit your budget. Have to say our absolute favourite place to eat based on price and quality was The Bistro.
Has extremely steep hills to get down to the esplanade so would require you to drive if you had any mobility issues.
Would highly recommend.

Ventnor has lots to recommend it when taken individually - a variety of bars, cafes restaurants and pubs, a couple of mini supermarkets, a lot of quirky independent shops and antique shops, car parking, kids play areas, beach and some walkable attractions. The difficulty is the roads linking the downs, town and beach and all very steep, narrow and winding which made us think twice about getting the car out sometimes.

We couldn't have had a better stay. Great value for money, spotlessly
clean and a great location. Stunning sea views and quiet and peaceful
yet not too far from shops, restaurants, and the esplanade and beach.
The apartment was spotlessly clean and superbly equipped. Great shower
and comfy beds. Practically everything you could think of had been
taken care of. Lovely light rooms with bonus of an outside seating area.
Wish it had been longer - will definitely be back!
A gem. Of a place, spectacular grounds to walk with a fantastic cliff walk to the beach. this hotel is dog friendly and the staff are really helpful. I am surprised at the rates this hotel charges it is very good value for money and I would have expected to pay more for accommodation of this standard. there is a swimming pool and a bar is open for residents in the day time, if I am in the area again this will definitely be the place I will stay
I recently had the pleasure of visiting The Botanist's Rest in Ventnor, Isle of Wight; it's a cute little terraced cottage just off the High Street. It's well decorated and finished to a high standard, and the house was immaculately clean, comfortable and welcoming. It's a short walk into Ventnor town, where there are a number of restaurants and bars. We had a great stay and would certainly consider visiting again.
Everything about this hotel was great. The rooms were comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was superb. There was also an excellent range of options for breakfast. The hotel was a short walk away from the centre of Ventnor and the sea front. The ambience was old-fashioned luxury without being stuffy.
Transport- I came by ferry to Ryde ; (without my car) and continued my journey by train and a very reliable bus service . The coastal walking from Cornerways is spectacular as is the location- Ventnor has its own micro climate- it was sunny & warm
with a lovely breeze off the sea- beach is small compared to Sandown or
Excellent living room and kitchen with all appliances you may want. Central location for the shops in Ventnor. Parking space at the rear of the building useful. 10 minutes down to the splendid beach. Book ahead if you want to eat at on trend Smoking Lobster on beach front. The Winter Gardens is a good sunset watch.
The hotel has been renovated and they did a great job on it. Our room had a sea view and huge windows, a large terrace with outstanding views.
The service was personable and exceptional in all respects.
The breakfast was excellent, hot and fresh.
A great location and very unique.
We can’t wait to return!
On arrival and check in we met Emily on reception who was great. The rooms were comfortable and clean. And the bathroom was large and clean as well. The cooked breakfast we had was lovely- as all of the previous reviews have also agreed. The Hotel is also well situated in Ventnor overlooking the sea.
Beautifully arranged and well organized, clean, excellent location, (beach is only a short walk away) great TV channel selection (Netflix, Prime, Disney plus, etc). Kitchen was well equip (loved that we’re given some coffee capsules), ahhh we basically loved everything about the place.
Our room was very clean and spotless, and had a lot of space and a great view. Location was ideal, walking distance to Ventnor town and beach. The garden was beautiful and felt very tropical. Breakfasts were plentiful and service by staff pleasant and friendly. Excellent stay!
Beautiful property over looking the sea. Access to the beach direct from the hotel.
Very comfortable bed and good shower.
The staff were very friendly.
Excellent breakfast with great choice. Breakfast room overlooking the sea and terrace outside.
Our room was very spacious, clean and comfortable as was our ensuite. The hosts were welcoming and friendly. The location was perfect for our pet dog Flora with Ventnor Park next door which also provided access to a cliff walk into town.
Perfect apartment, just as pictured. Great size, very clean, amazing facilities including an espresso machine and right in the heart of Ventnor so a lovely beach just round the corner. Great host too. Wish I could have stayed longer
Excellent location just a few seconds walk to the beach - easy walking to Steephill Cove and Bonchurch too. Great house with very comfotable beds, terrific bathrooms and kitchen facilities and very comfortable overall.
A gem on the Isle Of Wight. Very friendly team, great location for the 'bottom' of the island, first class restaurant (make sure you're there Friday - steak night is terrific). Lovely garden too.
The property is in a great location for access into Ventnor, Richard was a superb host and couldn’t do enough for you full of useful information, great breakfast and lovely room
A very cozy apartment overlooking Ventnor. Close to the beach and just as advertised. Sea theme throughout the flat worked very well. Thank you for looking after us.
