An absolutely charming location.
An absolutely charming location. Eating out on a budget was possible providing you used cash. However, only one restaurant and Hotel Sipan took credit cards. An easy place to walk around with a regular bus service to Sudurad to catch the ferry to the Dubrovnik. A very new designated swimming area with bar (and snacks), sunbeds, toilet and changing facilities. If walking is your thing there are some charming walks in the hills surrounding this village through olive groves, vineyards and other wooded areas.AAnonymousUnited Kingdom - 10Scored 10
Prices in the restaurants are much too high.
Prices in the restaurants are much too high. In "Kod Marka" restaurant I paid 35 kn (5 Euro) for 2 little anchovies (local name: inćuni). Much better food and lower prices in Orica restaurant in nearby Suđurađ (5 km from Šipanska luka). The place itself is fabulous and quiet. People are very friendly everywhere and you find yourself as if at home.

Beautiful place.
Beautiful place. There are 2 small supermarkets but you can generally get most things from there. There are also 3 or 4 restaurants , the speciality is fish amongst other things however there is another cheaper grill, serving lovely homemade pizzas at a very reasonable price. It is an ideal place to swim , but important to buy swim shoes or something to wear on your feet in the water as there are lots of sea urchins and you don't won't to step on one.

We loved the peaceful vibe after busy Dubrovnik.
We loved the peaceful vibe after busy Dubrovnik. The walking trails were well signed and the snorkeling was great. We easily and cheaply hired kayaks for a few hours and explored the coastline. And after all that sunshine and activity, large beers were only 20 kuna - happy days 😊FionaUnited Kingdom

Simple buffet breakfast of salami, cheese, eggs and bread. To get to the hotel we took the ferry from Dubrovnik to Sudurad (Sipan) and the local bus is timed to meet it, it's a 10min journey on the bus to Sipanska Luka.RossIreland
